Hello World (Again)
Finally I have a time to write this.
It’s been two years since I disappeared from this blog, and I think I owe you an explanation.
I’ve got several messages from my friends and followers here on tumblr on why I abandoned this Julian Brandt blog. Some I have already answered, some haven’t, because the questions are basically the same. So, I’m gonna sum them up.
Q: What happened to you?
Well, I got a new job after summer holiday 2019. I don’t want to be specific about it, but my job is very technical and demanding, and it requires me to travel a lot. Since then, I simply have no time and gradually losing interest on social media. I gave up tumblr, instagram, and twitter. I even deleted my facebook.
Q: Are you no longer following Julian Brandt/Bayer Leverkusen?
To be honest: yes.
I’m no longer following their latest updates and mostly unable to watch the matches live because of the crazy time difference. I need proper sleep and rest after work (see: the technical and demanding job). Also since I’m no longer interested on going online on my social media, I just simply lost in track about football, etc.
Q: Is it (re: blog hiatus) because Julian changed club to Borussia Dortmund?
Partially, yes.
I am (or was lol) a Leverkusen fan. If players leave the club, then I no longer have the same interest on them just like before, because I’m/was more focus on the club. It doesn’t only apply to Julian, but also other players (Son, Leno, ....)
Regarding to the recent tumblr environment (particularly on football blogs), I notice that several ‘old’ blogs that I follow are no longer active and other blogs that I follow are changed into gossip blogs that more interested in talking about the players’ personal life and drama. The vibes are now different and simply doesn’t ‘click’ with me.
So, I guess that’s it. Again, I’m sorry that I can no longer doing updates about Julian or Leverkusen.
