Homare: It seems that because I am both a writer and an actor belonging to a theater company that made it to the finals, they considered me a perfect fit and selected me to take up the task of providing commentary.
Homare: In short, I have been asked to share my commentary and impressions on Shakespeare’s works in relation to the theater companies that made it to the finals.

Homare: Well, I have written my fair share of essays about him, after all.

Izumi: Unusual, isn’t it? He said it was to step up promotions during the off period leading up to our first match, but it seems like he was concerned about the fact that I seemed to be struggling.

Masumi: We still haven’t confirmed things with the script yet. He’s working out the concept right now.
Kureha: Towa-kun’s also working on producing the script right now, but it seems like he’s a little stuck since he doesn’t know very much about Shakespeare.
Masumi: Tsuzuru said he was going to reread all of his works.
Muku: He also mentioned that he was going to ask Arisu-san about a few things since he knows a lot about Shakespeare.
Kureha: Really? Homare-san hasn’t been coming by the coffee shop much lately, so I haven’t seen him in a while.

Izumi: Since Dad’s a board member, he probably couldn’t lend them a hand, and given our situation, we wouldn’t have been able to help them either, so I was a bit worried about them.
Izumi: Considering none of you have any stake in things, I was wondering if he’d end up asking you.
Izumi: And the only reason Yuzo-san isn’t also helping is because he’s competing in the finals with Fuurinkazan.
Syu: Exactly. Thanks for savin’ us the trouble of explainin’.
Syu: If KICS ends up advancin’, they’ll be facin’ off again MANKAI Company, so we figured it wouldn’t be fair not to mention that to ya just in case.
Zen: What do you mean by ‘if’? Aren’t we expectin’ them to advance given we’re lendin’ ‘em a hand?
Hiro: Well, giving the Newborn MANKAI Company a handicap like this is probably fitting.
Syu: That said, ya can’t deny that KICS does have potential, and Yukio’s taken a special interest in ‘em.
Kasumi: They’re great at coming up with innovative ideas that other theater companies wouldn’t think of, and they’re incredibly effective when it comes to appealing to younger audiences.
Kasumi: But I’m still a MANKAI Company oshi, of course!
Syu: They’ve built up a lotta momentum, so they’ve gotta be careful not to trip over it. The toughest battles to fight are the ones where you’re expectin’ to win.
Izumi: No matter the opponent, we have no intentions of losing either. We’re going to give it our all, just as we always have.

Izumi: KICS’s first round is coming up pretty soon, isn’t it?
Zen: Yeah, we’ve already started preparin’.
Hiro: We’re in the middle of doing some pretty intense training as warm-up sessions before they start rehearsing for real.
Syu: They’re young ‘n full of energy, so workin’ ‘em like that is worth the effort.
Zen: It’s a good thing that KICS really has nothin’ to lose, so they can just give it their all in every match without needin’ to hold back. That’s what really gives ‘em an edge.
Kasumi: Since your first match is taking place further down the line, MANKAI Company has more time to prepare, right?
Izumi: That’s right. Since we’ll only be doing three performances, we can’t put on separate troupe performances, so we’re planning to put on three mixed ones instead.
Izumi: But it looks like it’s going to take a bit longer to get that fully sorted out… So in the meantime, the rest of the troupe is doing their own sort of training period by taking on guest performances.
Hiro: Oh yeah, I have been seeing some of their names popping up here and there.
Izumi: The most recent ones have been Masumi-kun appearing in a production done by his university’s theater group, and Guy-san performing in a production directed by Tooru-san.
Syu: Oh, he’s appearin’ in one of Tooru-san’s productions? Can’t wait to see that.
Kasumi: Fuyou’s theater group has been pretty famous for a while now. Maybe I’ll have to finally go and see one of their productions again.
Hiro: But doing three mixed performances has still gotta be tough, huh?
Zen: Decidin’ on the cast is quite the ordeal, ain’t it?

Izumi: Tsuzuru-kun said he wanted to get to writing it while his schedule’s still fairly open, so he’s been working on getting a head start.

Izumi: They said that my dad was the one who asked them to lend them a hand. Supporting a new theater company is good for the world of theater as a whole, after all.
Izumi: By showing people how a new theater company is working so hard, it might help to inspire more people to consider giving theater a try for themselves.
Tasuku: I understand the reasoning behind it, but there’s no doubt they’ll be a tough opponent.
Tsumugi: Not to mention how much momentum they’ve built up. Winning against them certainly won’t be easy.

Izumi: Of course, if we don’t end up making it to the finals, this won’t be able to happen, but I think we should prepare things with the intention of reaching the Fleur Award through everyone’s combined efforts.
Izumi: That’s why, how would you all feel about doing three mixed performances instead of troupe performances?

Yuki: Even if we consider what MANKAI Company’s strengths are, it’s still not going to be easy by any means.
Tenma: I mean, there are theater companies who basically specialize in doing that sorta thing.
Sakyo: Our first opponent will either be KICS or Team Indulgence in Working Overtime…
Masumi: KICS is still riding the momentum from their last performance. They’re doing really well on social media too.
Tasuku: And as for Team Indulgence in Working Overtime, it seems like some of their members used to be involved in college theater groups, and since they’ve got a pretty consistent performance schedule, they’re popular with a wide range of fans.
Izumi: That’s why I think we need to carefully consider what sort of performance we’re going to stage.
Azuma: Mixed performances also make selecting the cast a bit more of an endeavor.
Homare: And unlike with the preliminaries, a loss in the first round means we won’t be moving forward to a second, so we must carefully consider both the cast and subjects of the plays in every possible manner.
Tsuzuru: This sure is gonna be harder than anything we’ve done before.
Citron: How about we decide on things by lottery!?
Tsuzuru: That’d just be reckless.
Banri: Since this’ll be such an important matchup, wouldn’t it be best to just let Director-chan decide?
Sakyo: A director is usually the one to literally decide on the starting lineup.
Kazunari: Things do kinda hinge on Tsuzurun’s script, though, so it’s probs best if the two of them worked out the casting together.
Tasuku: We know we can trust the two of you to make the best decisions for the cast.
Tsuzuru: I guess… but with how important these three performances are, I dunno how to even begin going about planning them…
Tsuzuru: It doesn’t really feel like we’re doing a sequence of performances one by one like we usually do; I think it’s more like these three performances in the finals are all part of one whole.
Tsuzuru: That said, I don’t think splitting it into different parts, like we did with the Mankai Performance, is the right move either considering there’s a chance we might not get to do all of the parts…
Izumi: So, why don’t you start by deciding on the overall structure and balance of the three performances first, and then start thinking more about the details once that’s sorted out?
Tsuzuru: Sounds good.
Itaru: Writing scripts for three performances at once sounds like it’ll be rough.
Tenma: It’ll be even more work than the two parts of the Mankai Performance were.

Yuzo: Seems like the kinda troupe my troupe wouldn’t mix well with, but ain’t nothin’ we can do about it. All we can do is fight ‘em doin’ theater the way we know how to.
Izumi: We might end up being against Hyakka in the semifinals, which means even though it’ll be our second round, we can’t let our guards down at all.

Yukio: “Following that, the performances will be put on in a showdown act format on the same day at the same theater, with separate matinee and soiree performances. There will then be another round of voting that takes place.”
Yukio: “The winner will be determined based on the total points calculated from both the voting results during their performance period and on the day of their showdown act.”
Itaru: The fact that things aren’t entirely decided by just a single day of performing might actually be pretty nice.

Yukio: “The Fleur Cup is a festival and celebration of theater.
