Briare slip dress under self-drafted top. The top is made with a Liberty Lawn that I overdyed. I wanted lots of cobalt this summer. I used Ocean blue by Dylon.Â
This is the Jane Tunic by Tina Givens. I needed to make some alterations to the pattern of this as it had some weird shapes.Â
Bought this light linen from my local pound shop for £3m in white. This one is dyed with Rosewood Dylon.Â
Easy dress to wear. I would make it again without the frill collar for more versatility. Easy to layer.
This is a Nano Iro double cotton gauze Michell dress by tina givens.Â
When I first made this, I wasn’t sure about it because I had planned to wear it over slip dresses and that didn’t work. The neckline was too wide and the gauze doesn’t like to sit over other fabrics.Â
But actually I wear it a lot. It  I shortened the dress to my favourite knee length but that’s all I did. I have since narrowed the neckline a little, but haven’t made it again, yet.Â
I wear this a lot. The top picture shows it with a silk top I found and remodelled from charity shop. Love this print. I want lots of yellow and blue right now. Maybe I need some yellow jeans?
This is the Tina Givens Prairie dress. The only thing I changed was adding pockets. I made mine with a black underskirt because what was the only thing I had enough of. I wouldn’t wear it without some sort of arm cover because I have deformed armpits. It looks good with short cardis on top but I need top make something summery too.Â

Here you can see all the darning fun I’ve had with these jeans. This is a variation of the self-drafted cotton top. I usually layer it over an undershirt or slip dress.Â
I bought these cottons from my local £ shop. The colours are wonderfully saturated. I love the crushed look.Â
This is a self-drafted tunic with pockets. I have since raised the pockets on the pattern. This shows how I wear it in different weather. I love the heatgen undershirts you can buy form Uniqlo or Marks and Spencer. I get as many colours as I can afford and wear them under everything in the winter.Â
Briare slip under a self drafted cotton tie-front top.
This was kind of a wearable muslin made with inexpensive cotton. Next time I make this, it will cross over in the front rather that tie at the centre front.Â
here the Briare slip is peaking out under a self drafted linen tunic. I didn’t do a great job on this. Probably shouldn’t have included the contrast patches, much as I love the fabric.Â
One more cotton voile Braire slip. Very pink and girly. Good for peaking out from lots of tunics.Â
Also shown with lace cardi I knit.Â

This is another Braire Slip in a lovely cotton voile. I went with the long length here and just one skirt. Looks a bit like a nightgown at this length. I should probably make it shorter but I’m going to leave it this length for a while and see if and how I wear it. So tempting to just make all my clothes identical.
I love the look an d simplicity of binding the neck and armholes with bias binding raw edged. Used a combo of fabrics here and some lace.
I’ve made a lot of new clothes in the last couple of months.  Thought I’d post them here.Â
This is my yellow polka dot Briare Slip. Pattern by Tina Givens. I have added bust darts for more shaping. Originally the underlay was longer but I don’t really wear things that length. I prefer a knee length and wearing with jeans or leggings. I could probably remove this underskirt and make another Braire with the fabric. Do I need another yellow polka dot slip though?
