"Quentin." His name caught in his mouth, surprised and low. From where she sat on the ground, the shadows didn't contribute well to the long look on his face. A twinge of sympathy ran through her.

Ailed by a scraped side from an improper vault, it was comparatively minor compared to Quentin's state. "I'm okay," Laurie's words were earnest, concern for him dark in her pale eyes. "Are you okay?" You look exhausted, she didn't say. He usually did.

Her bandaged hand smooth across the grass beside her before she patted it. "You can sit here." Shielded from the wind, it was comfortable if nothing else.

“I just came by to make sure you were still alive.” My two mains in DBD. Heather has always been one of my favorite horror game characters, I still play Silent Hill 3 on Ps2 to this day, and seeing new content of her in DBD really warmed my heart.

Michael has always been an early bird. Routine has been instilled in him since the early days at Smith’s Grove. Each minute echoed in his bones, a drum in his head. Always move. Always strive forward. Keep thinking. Every day that he stared at those plain white walls, his mind sped quicker. Crisp, cool air hugged his frame; sweaty, messed curls settled at the nape of his neck. Bruised knuckles flexed around the edges of the latex mask. For one night it has been his identity, his link to humanity, to blood and conquest. As he watched the sun rise, a heat filled his chest. He has seen it many times in his room but this time he watched it with new eyes. There was no chain link fence blocking his view, no orderlies in the backdrop, yelling at his fellow patients. Michael let out a breath- a deep one that shook his body with the exhale. The smell of rain lingered on the wind. His freedom began with a sunrise.
