Awoiaf fun facts

My family is the imperial royal family of our kingdom so every region has its own royal family but my family rules over the entire kingdom.

They’re all connected (well my main line ones anyway) it starts from my old Valyria dr (still haven’t scripted that one) and ends with my Game of Thrones dr.

In my HOTD dr Otto isn’t a power hungry man instead it’s his older brother, the plot of still trying to get Alicent to be Queen is still a thing but it also extends to his daughters. (Yes he’s that fucking greedy) but because Alicent and Aegon are so in love but won’t say anything I basically have to force them together. So Ally still becomes queen just not of the seven kingdoms.

In my Maegor’s reign dr old Valyria is basically resurrected and Meagor’s line is a thing a they rule the once freehold.

Pre doom House Qohalys was one of the forty dragonlord families. The family didn’t just have dragons they also had firehounds born from the same volcanos that made the peninsula, these beasts could only be tamed by House Qohalys. This family weren’t regular dragonlords, they were bloodsuckers, born from Xanthe Qoahlys the mother of their house. Xanthe married an unknown dragonlord with silver hair and red eyes. They soon would welcome three babies the first born with their fathers eyes, a deep red with gold flakes, the second had mis match eyes, one red and one purple with their mothers golden hair and the third was a perfect mix of their parents, reddish purple eyes, perfect brown skin, and silver golden hair. They had cradle egg dragons, all three hatching at the same time, a black dragon dark as shadows, a red dragon, the color of fresh blood and a blue dragon as dark as the night sky. Each of the hatchings remaining nameless until their rider were old enough to name them. Aeralsathys, named by her rider Maelis the eldest child of Xanthe and her unknown husband. Aeralsathys was red as blood, with a temper as hot as fire. Ossiryon, named by his rider Laevina the second daughter of Xanthe and her husband. Ossiryon was black as the shadows and had a temper that rivaled his elder sister. Drakonys, named by his rider Xandros the only son of Xanthe and her husband. Drakonys was the most docile of his siblings, he was a blue dragon as dark as the night sky.

“Born of Fire and Blood” the house words of Hose Qohalys. The triplets were skinchangers they could fully merge their mind with their dragon. When they turned sixteen they went through a dragonbonding ritual, when they came out of it, they had a tattoo of their dragon on their body. At some point they bonding with their firehounds. Most people don’t know that House Qohalys don’t only worship the fourteen flames but also the eleven embers. These two pantheons have been side by side since the beginning of time, working together. It was said that, when the god Arrax married the goddess Aegarax house Targaryen and house Qohalys became allies. The two houses eternally allied.

Post doom A century after the doom house Qohalys flourished in Cyrdonia, they were loved by their people. House Qohalys took care of their subjects and even treated them like equals helping out their people, and interacting with them when given the chance. House Qohalys never chained their dragons letting them fly as they pleased, the firehounds roamed freely never on a leash. They had a dragon pen and a den built for the hatchlings and pups but it was only when necessary did they get housed there. The family kept many traditions for before the doom, as they left old Valyria a century before the doom happened, taking everything they had with them. Unlike other houses they didn’t lose their family history or the secrets of old Valyria.

Traditions First flight, a parent will strap their babe to their chest and take them on their first flight on dragon back, the rest of the family will join them along with all the dragons. Blood cords, the blood cord is made of twine dyed with the blood from the birth and preserved and is used as a marker of milestones in the persons life. Individuals create their own bloodcords and expand on them continuously, adding a new item to the cord for any significant life event that occurs. As they journey through life, from youth to death, each persons individual creates and maintains their bloodcords. When memorable milestones of life are reached, a new bead is selected and woven into the cord. Together, these beads form a tactile narrative of the owner’s life. A child's bloodcord is short in length given their young age. But should an individual ask to hear Often, there are packed with thrilling stories and grand adventures. Death, when someone dies they are buried with their blood cord, cowrie shells as a way to get to Balerion realm. The person is then burnt on a funeral pyre with their blood cord and cowrie shells.
