The drawing of the guys is inspired by the lake scene from the animated movie Spirit (2002), one of my favourite childhood movies.

AU where Uhtred took Bebbanburg back while Alfred was still alive so Uhtred could share his beloved home with him.

Alternatively; my bestie said it kinda looks like a scene from a dream so it could also be Uhtred‘s dream when Alfred has already passed away. Yes we love drama and pain.

HERE, GUYS. HAVE A SAPPY EPILOGUE.

I know not many people even read this story, but nevertheless it means a lot to me and I am grateful for everyone who did read it and (hopefully) enjoyed this little journey of giving two idiots in love a happy ending.

I’ve been working on this for over a year and it still feels weird that it’s actually finished now. Never thought I’d get there, to be honest. But here we are.🥹

I can’t believe it but this is actually the last regular chapter. Next I am going to work on the epilogue and then this story is finished, after more than a year.

Honestly I didn’t think I’d get there. I got sidetracked with other stuff so many times.
