Seeing what has been happening since yesterday really hits me the wrong way and this more anything is my effort to maybe sprinkle a bit of positivity into the timeline, cause mine's messy in the worst way 😶‍🌫️

I don't know if you're the one who's been sending the ask since T20WC but yes I've been really reluctant to answer cause of the simple fact I DON'T KNOW!

I am simply a Stealy fan and Australian women's cricket team is my team of choice, they're the ones I stay up late nights for and root for and I absolutely love the girls cause they're great role models for fans and put genuine efforts into building connections but that being said I really have/had no idea about this.

And I am only assuming it's true, cause even after Monica outright went nuclear, if it was untrue CA/Ash/Voll would've issued statements/taken action and seeing none of them doing anything about this, it's safe to assume it's true and in that case I absolutely feel for Monica, I really do. More often than not, you could've found her in NSO for Sixers' matches and she looked rather lovely with everyone. I personally loved Ash and having seen her in person, she is absolutely gracious to interact with and an amazing role model and I really haven't seen much of Volly so really can't comment about her.

But what happened regardless is really really sad and shouldn't have happened and the fall out already seems rather horrible, no matter what happens in the coming days.

Midge is really and properly enjoying her retirement like it's anybody's business. And fair enough too anon, after so long she's earned her right to enjoy and indulge in her new found freedom.

Yes, Yes anon I remember. Murdoch gets so much hate for their shady media reporting but honestly Fox is just that much worse.

I do remember the Fox News reporting at that time, insinuating ever so slyly about deeper issues and each other's absences at some events/games meaning something more....

And gosh honestly, next year when the full picture came out was so infinitely worse. Mitch probably had one of his worst seasons cricketing wise in 2020 (love Warney so much, but what he was doing to Mitch that season honestly, just reduced so much respect for him in my eyes), I can only imagine the strict bio bubbles weren't helping anyone- to the point where I just remember one of his interviews with Mitch going "careers were getting shortened" (that was probably indication enough to what was going through his head) and then the sly reporting & insinuation that there was something wrong with the couple, all for it to come out next year, that Mitch had lost his father to cancer.

I cannot imagine the anguish of him going through seeing his father fighting cancer knowing he won't make it, bio bubbles and state restrictions making travelling impossible, Alyssa's own cricket schedule not helping and then one of his worst cricket seasons (which was honestly not THAT bad) and then being teared into the media by one of our greatest Warney and then to top it all of, have his marriage called into speculation, God Mitch had went through enough and he didn't even complained once!

One of my favourite little anecdotes from this Ashes series, there's instances like these that just affirm that you've chosen the right people to like.

And the funny thing is it's not just this series or for the cameras or journos, I've seen first hand after WBBL games at NSO, after being on field for almost 40 overs, then obliging every signature and selfie requests and media duties, I've seen Alyssa on most days grabbing the bin and helping the volunteers with their clean up job and on occasions Mitch too, whenever he could attend.

These two have not just been absolutely phenomenal cricketers, they are even better people and role models and every time you get to see them, there's just nothing but respect for em'.

Mitch Starc as a reindeer is not what I thought I would see. I'd love to see them recreate it but I have a feeling Mitch said no.

I've never followed Tay so I really can't help you there, but with how giggly Mitch is I can't really imagine him being all big brother and denying his siblings the photo, maybe Brendon? 🤞 We get a recreation of this at some stage considering all of the siblings live together again...

It's this kid's birthday today and I still remember this day vividly cause I got to gift Midge a teddy on my birthday 😅 all the way back in Wbbl 2018.... Hard to still swallow that she won't be rocking the magenta this year 💔
