like even as an adult with all the cult leader stuff, he still always carried around small candies or lollipops to stave off the nasty taste after eating a curse. especially after you came into his life.

it felt strange to eat a curse only to kiss you with those same lips without something to cleanse his palette. he didn’t want to associate the bitter taste of a curse with your lips, he’d much rather associate them with something sickly sweet.

the sound of crinkling wrappers and soft crunching had become customary, a sort of white noise after suguru had ingested a curse. he always, always leaned in for a kiss after, slipping his dyed tongue into your mouth as you hummed at the sweet flavor laving over your tastebuds, even playfully trying to guess the flavor from the remnants of the sugary treat.

that’s why you watched him expectantly as he finished the remnants of his lollipop, his tongue mindlessly fiddling with the stick for a moment before throwing it away. he raised an eyebrow when he noticed your stare, a smirk gracing his lips.

“is there something on my face?” he sounded too smug to be clueless. you only shook your head in response, that same wide eyed, expectant gaze fixed on his face.

he broke sooner than he would’ve liked, clicking his tongue with a small “c’mere.” he fought back a smile when you came closer, cupping your face in his hands before pressing his lips to yours in a heated kiss. you pulled him closer, a small gasp leaving him when you sucked on his tongue softly before pulling away completely with a thoughtful hum.

“is it peach?”

he gave you an incredulous look, a small laugh leaving him at your words. god, you were going to be the death of him.

“This is the right choice.. choosing ta, get invested in this… if I wasn’t a monarch I, wouldn’t have had him- lie to me.. May not have seemed like someone he needed to lie to- … I put myself forward for the crown cause I thought it would be.. a way ta solidifying.. my relationships and my place here.. just trying to step into the light, rather then hide behind it. And now I don’t think I can do either. I can’t choose.. what people, choose to trust me with, or not.. I think what hurts more is that, it didn’t feel like he was sorry he lied, it felt like her was sorry he was caught, maybe I do not blame him, maybe I am to naive to the idea that, one can Wear a crown and maintain their friendships.. who knows.”

HE HATES ME AND HE WANTS ME TO DIE /silly. Uggghhh this streamed ruined me deeply but mmm it was so nice. Anywho. This was all I could envision the entire time that bit was going on. I hope y’all like it none the less took me around 19 hrs to complete 😀. I went back to IBS paint to test it out from my usual Procreate and or FireAlpaca. Constantly switching between art programs I fear- smh.

I watch Scott first, so I got treated to some lovely vampires as found family food. They got cool new outfits. Scott might have worn a dress sometime in the past. Scott dyed his hair blue on a night out and is now stuck with it forever. The vampires are fixing the castle. Oh, pause for some messing with humans. Back to regularly scheduled fluff. Scott is having a better time than anyone else as far as I can tell.

I then proceeded to watch Apo's video and got hit by the ouch. Truffle's in a hole now. Apo says something about how Pyro was able to leave Pyro alive, but Apo nearly killed the pig within a short period of being a vampire. Apo burns their house down because they're moving on and they're absolutely fine, with an audience. Apo is inducted into the vampire hunting militia. Apo cannot tell anyone what she is, especially when the others keep making comments about vampires. Avid burns a house down and then has a freakout about how they're all going to be vampires by the end of the week. There might be a cure, and Pyro wants it. The cure involves killing the sire (Pyro might be screwed). Apo and Cleo are thirsty in multiple ways (over Pearl specifically). Legs now knows Apo is a vampire. Pain.

Pyro's wasn't necessarily better. Sure, he's putting on this air of being unaffected and above the humanity he was a part of not long ago, but he is so affected actually. He hangs around them a lot because they're giving him attention. The bit with Pearl, Cleo, and Abolish was so cute. Pearl wants to squish his cheeks. Cleo says he could snap her like a twig (as someone was killed by Pyro). Pyro wants the cure (I need to highlight this again). He does scare Avid to establish this, but also Avid tried to kill him multiple times this episode so it's justified. Genuinely getting the feeling Pyro is less loyal to Scott than Shelby is, as weird as that sounds. Pyro is in a state of fear so often they can't be truly loyal. Pyro was accused of murder and called a beast because a bully accidentally killed himself in Pyro's vicinity. Pyro falls into a hole and then lies to Pearl (love this interaction). But Pyro does give Pearl blood? Cure? Pyro, Shelby, and Owen go clothes searching (also really cute). I'm so scared for Pyro. What's going to get them first? The crippling fear, their sire, or the fact that the town would likely chose to kill them to cure their fledglings than for them to live?
