joyful-maeveâ:
Finding the idea of spraying teal with a lavender scent mildly absurd, Maeve unintentionally mirrors Raeâs confused look. Then as though it is the most obvious thing in the world, she says, âPine scent would be better,â and proceeds to pat the dog on the head.
After spending a moment cooing over the delicious little animal, she steps back to get a better look. âShe looks so cute I could squish her! But it needs some va-va-voom.â Wiggling her fingers, she sets a simple charm to make the bow gently move as though it were in a permanent breeze. âThatâll last a fair few hours. She looks much better now.â
Rae arched a brow at the others equally confused look. The woman was interesting, that was certain. And so long as she didnât cause any trouble, Rae definitely would like to keep her around. The suggestion of a new scent had her nose wrinkling in confusion. âI donât know how I feel about the scent of pine on this little one.â Though many clients preferred their pets to smell clean or natural, she never considered earthy scents.Â
The vampire grinned proudly. âWell thank you! I take pride in the care for each and every one of my furry clients.â At the comment of needing something more, she frowned in confusion again, only for surprise to color her features as the other did a little magic. The pups little bow swayed rhythmically atop her head, as if there was a slight breeze. Her eyes went wide for a moment, impressed by the other. âWell, that certainly is something.â
âI like pine.â She taps her chin a moment, then offers instead. âBut freshly cut grass would work well, too. Do you always add a scent?â
Surprising people with magic is one of Maeveâs favourite hobbies. Having come from a coven where magic is normal, never meeting non-magical people regularly, she finds their reaction priceless. So she laughs lightly and looks as though she might explode with wicked entertainment.
âI think itâs important to take pride in your work. Speaking of which - what would you like me to do?â
