HEADCANON.
Jovie is remaining in Brighton but has withdrawn herself from a lot of her social obligations to focus on her dance.
Because of this concentration + focus level, she’s doing less of her work for her rinsing career and needs to supplement her rent costs with an actual job instead of just busking.
Luckily, she’s got a part time job at a Brighton dance school which keeps her busy and doing what she loves!
In the mornings, she teaches yoga at a fitness gym and from the late morning on, she’s sharing her dancing talents with interested young Brightonians who share her passion.
With Jackson back home, though, she’s feeling a bit lost and dejected which has also inspired her social withdrawal my poor child.
Especially with it being the holiday season, she’s longing for a taste of home and her dance reminds her of how things used to be.
Her insecurities are at a high, despite doing something she enjoys. Mostly because she’s afraid that with a “stable job”, she’s never going to want to leave to actually pursue her dance in the contexts of a company or troupe -- after all if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. She’s afraid of being too comfortable and not progreessing.
But that’s a fear for the future -- right now, she’s gotta focus on staying above water.
