So I decided to completely rework the arms...

The core concept is the same, when you put his arms over his body you get a grey line, but when this happened the line work wouldn't connect cleanly. The work around I had before was way to messy. So I added this cutter to his arm...

Basically when the cutter isn't there you can see the whole lines around the arm...

But this cutter makes it so you can't see this meet up point anymore! Wow, science huh?

The cutter also has a bonus feacher! Combine with the deformer on the cutter, you can add arm creases! Lovely! (errr this only works when over the torso though... outside his torso that grey line will never exist... the node view was getting to... tangly... for my comfort. Like the code of Undertale kinda stuff)

Next another lil ol' thing I'm very happy to have added is you can turn on and off the static in his glasses! HOORAY! It's not perfect, but neither is he.

All you have to do is click the static handle and switch to one of the 3 static variants! I stole it from his sprite sheet! But I made it little darker than the one on the sheet for two reasons.

One! Watching his shop dialogue for reference I noticed it sorta dims in and out. So I went with a mid dimness.

Two! When it was at full brightness I was worried it would give people a headache... It burns kinda thing.

There are two ways to animate with it. You can either grab the peg and drag it vertically and tween thusly, like how his shop sprite animates it...

Or you can cycle through the 3 variants of the cycle, to achieve a similar effect! Which is what I did in the animation at the top of the post!

So that's that really. I know some point I want to add other views, side, front and 3/4 back. But updates over all might be a bit quiet for a hot minute. What helped motivate me was my husband was away for a week and I was painfully bored and this was something I wanted to do anyway. He's back now! YAY!

Also I have work I need to lock into next week, so I can see that slowing me down.

Like I said, I want to animate something with him, so I'll probably start planning for that when I have some good spare time to do so. Also got other little arty commitments to meet, so I have to keep that in mind.

If I make any major changes I'll update with another post! But for now, let's rest for a bit. I'll end with what I messaged my friend with when I updated him today, as it sums up how I feel.
