We painted the kitchen! It’s hard to tell the before and after through pictures, but I have 1 before picture (photo 2). In the last picture, we have added baskets under the cabinets to keep things off the counter (much easier to clean the counters that way) and add more storage space. The paint was a very, very light tan color and we painted it white- the same color we’ve used in the master bedroom/guest bedroom/living room/dining room/downstairs hall. This was a WITCH to do because of the awkward spaces above and below the cabinets and my being only 5’4” (lots of awkward bending that my back did not like as well as some over-reaching on top of a ladder that my shoulder blades hated). I did the right side as well as the bar and John did the left side because there was no way I’d be able to reach the wall behind the cabinet over the fridge.
