Hi! First off, I’m so glad that overall you enjoy the journal! I am still working on the journal. It is not abandoned! I’m so sorry for the lengthy hiatus. I got a new job and was then thrown head first into busy season. But that’s winding down now, so I can start working on new entries again! I expect to start posting at least once a week again after the new year.

Thank you so much! I’m really glad you like it! I feel really bad I haven’t updated in forever, but I just got a new job IRL and it’s eating up all my free time. I’m hoping to have a chunk of time soon that I can power through the rest of Season 3 with and make up for lost time.

Decided to go catch a Jayhawks game instead of going directly back to Bobby’s. KU vs KSU. KU hasn’t won against K-State since 1989, but the team’s been undefeated so far this season so I’ve got high hopes. Should be awesome either way.

I hate when we have to torch monsters. Burning bones smells foul enough, but when it’s a living creature with all kinds of weird goop and pus and hair and shit, ugh. I don’t think I’m going to be able to get that smell out of my nose for a week.

Yep. Looks like we’re dealing with a wendigo all right. Son of a bitch those things are gross. I  called Bobby to let him know we’d confirmed it after talking to witnesses. He’s definitely going to ask around and see if anyone else has noticed wendigos wandering out of their usual north-central neck of the woods. Soon as Sammy and I finish up these hand made flame throwers, we’re gonna go torch the sucker. I hate hiking. Fucking wendigos.

Caught a case in Washington. Hikers going missing in Gifford Pinchot National Forest. Looks like we might have another wendigo that decided it wanted to move out west. Wonder what’s causing them to abandon their usual territories. Maybe that’s something worth looking into.

Still nothing. We’re back at Bobby’s. He’s got me doing some work for him for his real business while everything’s slow. Been helping take apart old junkers and figuring out what parts are worth selling and what’s just scrap. Some weirdo artist came poking around the other day and bought a bunch of broken parts twisted frames for some big sculpture he’s doing. Bobby made a pretty penny off of that guy. Can’t believe this guy’s art goes for enough that he can drop the kind of money on metal that he did. But Bobby sprung for the good stuff on his town run today, so I suppose I ought to thank whoever buys junk and scrap art for thousands of dollars.

I got a bloody nose from an elbow during the Hatebreed set, but it was totally worth it since she asked me back to her room. Her hotel was swanky as hell - never woulda pegged a metal head like her as a successful business executive. Especially not with the tattoos she had and where she had ‘em. It was awesome. Sam chewed me out for making him catch a cab back to the motel after the show, but even the bitch face he’s been giving me all day can’t ruin my mood. Yesterday and this morning were perfect. Exactly what I wanna be doing my last year on earth. Living life with no regrets.

It’s been really freaking quiet. We did a few salt and burns, nothing special. The demons really are keeping a relatively low profile. We keep looking for omens, clues, anything to counter or verify what Casey said, but we got diddly squat. Maybe they are all just excited to be out of Hell and kicking back in light of their freedom and lack of leadership. I don’t know. It’s driving me crazy. Looks like we’ll just keep doing this odd job thing until we get anything.

FUCK YEA! Got tickets to Ozzfest! They decided to make ‘em free this year. Hell yea! We got tickets to the August 28 show in Charlotte, NC. I’m mainly going for Ozzy, but the rest of the lineup looks awesome too. This one group is from Finland, and they wear monster masks. How awesome is that? I thought I was going to have to bribe Sam to come along, but he’s bitching a hell of a lot less than I was expecting. I didn’t even have to play the “last year on earth” card.

I’m sure he had his reasons. He always did. But damn if it doesn’t hurt to know that he’d still be alive, none of this crap with the Devil’s Gate, or Sammy getting stabbed and me making a deal would have happened if he’d just told us about all of it sooner. I’ve made my peace with going to hell. It’s kind of liberating actually. I don’t have to worry about the future, can just do whatever I want to be doing. Though thinking about what Casey said, about why demons are always wanting out of hell, it’s messing with that whole ‘being at peace with it’ bit. And now finding out this shit about Dad? And what he knew and didn’t tell us? Told me to kill Sammy, but not the name of the demon that killed Mom. Shit. I need a drink.

Talked to Bobby about it. Apparently Ruby showed up and helped him fix the Colt - make new bullets. Just in time for him to book it to Elizabethville and show up right when we needed him. Convenient. I’m worried about Sam. Azazel, he told me in the graveyard that what I brought back might not be all there - that he might’ve come back different. I’m worried something’s wrong with him. He’s never been this cold or blood thirsty before. Never this ready to kill. Bobby just reminded me that demon’s lie, but I can’t help but think how much more they prefer telling the truth when they know it’ll hurt more. I’ll just have to keep an eye on him. It’s probably nothing.

Sam went to go check out Trotter, and I decided to track Reggie’s cell. Found his body in the freaky ass basement of the bartender, Casey. Gave him a hunter’s funeral a few miles outside of town. Damn. Knew he was gonna get himself killed. Sam’s not back yet from tailing Trotter, so I’m gonna head back to the bar and see if I can get Casey to bring me back to her place. I set up a few traps there for her. I’m going to let this bitch think she’s won, and then I’m going to send her straight back to hell.
