“ i  would  love  to  stay,  i  can’t  remember  the  last  time  i  was  in  new  orleans. ”  more  like  she  would  love  to  spend  time  with  just  hope,  away  from  the  school  &  it’s  monsters.  “  relaxing  is  much  needed,  you  know  that  first  hand. ”  brown  hues  scan  hope’s  features,  noticing  she  now  had  piercings  along  with  a  few  tattoos  she  could  spot.  she  adored  them  &  was  desperate  to  know  more  about  them.  when  the  question  comes  back,  she decides  to  just  outright  say,  “  i  missed  you.  i -- do  miss  you.  i  wanted  to  see  how  you  were. ”

“  well,  uncle  stefan  has  been  dead  for  thirteen  so  twenty  was  a  good  guess  for  you. ”  she  shrugs  &  then  scrunches  her  nose  from  the  kai  parker  mention.  “ he  tried  to  kill  us,  yeah.  well  he’s  stuck  in  the  prison  world  again. ”  another  shrug,  she  tries  to  ignore  her  uncle’s  existence,  why  would  she  care  about  it  when  he  could  no  longer  hurt  them ?  “  yup,  he’s  alive  and  well. ”  she  chooses  to  ignore  katherine’s  snarky  comments  and  answer  her  questions  with  a  vagueness  to  them.  she  didn’t  need  to  know  all  the  details.  &  josie  wouldn’t  be  giving  them  out.  a  scoff  &  an  eyeroll  then  comes  from  her  when  she’s  suddenly  calling  her  aunt  elena  old  and  ugly,  her  resting  pout  forming.  “  um ---  no.  she’s  actually  still  really  beautiful  and  is  doing  well  for  herself ! i  knew  you  weren’t  her  because  she  doesn’t  dress  the  same  and  you  reek  of   tired,  reused  and  old  insults.”

“  oh,  so  we’re  pretending  that  you  don’t  know.  is  that  what  this  is ? ”  josie  raises  her  brow  with  question.  she  was  in  the  room  when  MG’s  compulsion  had  failed,  she  know’s  that  he  still  knew  about  supernaturals.  she  wanted  the  memories  gone,  keeping  ethan  in  the  know  would  only  get  messy.  she  just  hopes  MG  will  follow  through  once  the  vervain  is  gone.  “ we  don’t  have  to  talk  about  it,  i  know  it’s  a lot  to  take  in. ”

what  was  special  about  her ?  a  good  question  she  didn’t  quite  know  the  answer  to  herself.  some  would  say  magic,  some  would  say  being  a  siphoner  or  a  gemini  witch  but  to  her  that  was  normal.  amongst  humans  however,  that  might  be  her  special.  if  only  they  knew,  if  only  ethan  knew.  “  there  isn’t  much  i  would  consider  to  be  special  about  me,  ethan  fell.  please,  feel  free  to  figure  it  out  for  me  cause  god  knows  i  can’t. ”  then  comes  the  question  she  had  thought  about  the  answer  to  one  too  many  times.  the  fake  answer,  anyhow.  she’s  quiet  for  a  moment  while  she  thinks  before  answering,   “  i  just  felt  like  i  wasn’t  experiencing  enough  on  my  own,  you  know ?  with  my  dad  as  the  headmaster  &  my  sister  sharing  a  room  with  me  i  just  felt  like  i  needed  an  outlet,  i  guess. ”  which  wasn’t  totally  fake,  she  needed  space  even  if  it  wouldn’t  last  forever. 

there’s  a  sigh  of  relief  when  hope  mentions  something  as  simple  as  planning  a  family  dinner.  for  a  moment  she  was  expecting  the  tribrid  to  ask  her  for  magical  help.  “  oh,  yeah !  of  course,  i  would  love  to  help  you  plan  a  dinner.  ” 

she  laughs,  even  if  it’s  brief  and  gone  as  if  it  never  happened.  “  i  mean,  the  simple  answer  is  saying  hey  there’s  a  football  about  to  knock  you  over !  but,  your  way  was  clever,  i  will  give  you  that. ”  she  nods,  it  made  sense,  if  she  had  been  going  there  he  would’ve  probably  seen  her  around  more  than  not.  god,  she  felt  so  out  of  place  today,  words  barely  leaving  her  lips  in  a  way  that  made  sense.  “ right,  duh.  you  would’ve  totally  seen  me  around.  as  for  the  sign,  i  think  i’ll  pass  but  maybe  a  sticky  note  on  my  locker. ”  the  brunette  jokes,  a  smile  tugging  back  at  her  lips.  “  it’s  nice  to  meet  you  too,  paxton.  thanks,  it’s  been ---  an  adjustment. ”
