Also, I recently changed career paths. Last year I left the NPS to pursue a career with the USFS. I can’t tell you how much I miss talking with people and hiking trails while on patrol. It was incredibly rewarding on a daily basis.
As much as I love impacting people’s experience in the wilderness, I believe that my new position will allow me to make a difference in our forests for century’s to come.
Nowadays, I talk more with the trees than I do with people. Our forests are sick and they need our attention. I hope that I can make a positive impact for the generations come.
