New hires, and twins to be exact
I don't know how some people can't do their jobs right. You literally do the same thing every time you come in, unless you do learn something new. Once you clock in, you should be able to automatically walk all the boarder, make their food and clean their cages. Once that's done, they you start to restock everything, get all the rooms ready for the day, and if you have down time, clean up the clinic a little bit. I don't know why these new hires have to be told what they need to do. It's like they always need some sort of help to wipe their ass every time they go to the bathroom. I'm trying really hard to not be mean to them but it's kind of hard when I just see what I'm seeing every time that I work with them. I still don't see how they still have a job yet. I know that management knows that they're not getting what they need to be doing, but yet, they still keep them. If they're that slow to learn anything, then I'm sorry, but they need to be fired. I swear, every time when I do work with them (which is rare) I always see the same things that they do. They don't help to take the trash out to the curb, they don't vacuum when it's supposed to be done, are slow with feeding or dealing with the boarders and are slow to getting in and out of appointments. I get that they really don't know how to be quick or just be ahead, but they really need to start using their brains a little more. I literally was in surgery this morning, then when the afternoon appointments started up, I literally did majority of the appointment and also release my surgery patient. She literally only did one appointment this afternoon. I get that my manager probably had her do all, if not, majority of the morning appointments but that's not on me, that is on her manager. I'm just sick and tired of having to pull a lot of the weight while others can slack off and not get any consequences for it. This is how people start to not like where they work and quit because of the unfairness. If this was going to be the case, my manager should have made sure that the new hires are capable to doing one task properly without having to be told/corrected before moving on and teaching them something else before mastering the pervious task. This is how mistakes will be made and more time will be wasted with having to correct all, if any, mistakes that they do. This is why I just do what I need to do to just get through the day and go home.
