Had a great time at the Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators conference in NYC over the weekend. William Joyce highly recommended everyone to win an Oscar sometime. He shared the fascinating story of how The Fanstastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore came to be. Rainbow Rowell shared her story of how she came to write novels and also talked a lot about her writing style. She was super friendly as she was personalizing a book for my wife as well.
