A Birthday Teaser
Today is my birthday! To celebrate, I'm going to post some teasers for my two upcoming books.
From Follies of Humanity: Malcolm's Adventure, the prequal novella of Follies of Humanity.
Malcolm and Mary were standing at the highest point of Cliff Side Base.
“Wow, this is beautiful,” said Malcolm with a slight gasp, making Mary giggle.
“I knew you’d like it.” She gently took his hand and rested her head against his arm.
“Mary, why are you doing this?” His eyes never left the view of the town below them.
“What do you mean?”
“All this romantic stuff and this flirting that you do. I’m not dense, I can tell.” A slight blush formed on her cheeks, although she was also smiling.
“Do I need a reason to flirt with someone I want to be around?” He sighed at her teasing.
“I guess what I’m doing is trying to gauge what your intentions are.” A smirk pulled onto her lips as she pulled him down to whisper into his ear.
“If you want to find out, all you have to do is ask.”

There are rumors that many long years ago, the world of Yukishima wasn’t ravaged by war. But to the people of the world, those rumors are just that, rumors. For around 1,000 years, their world has been stuck in The Ice War. Countless generations have fought in this conflict, and countless lives have been lost. The war started when the Ice Empire marched on their neighbors to the west, and has continued ever since. Now, the Ice Empire has conquered much of the world, leaving only their eastern neighbors untouched. But over the last decade, this has been changing. Only one great nation stands in their way, the Kingdom of Zhohai. The people of the world live in fear of the Ice Empire and its leader, the Ice Emperor. One question has plagued generations of people, why?
