- narrator is the only one able to break the fourth wall; everyone else notices them doing it, but just thinks they’re being weird

- narrator admits in an aside that even though their narration SOUNDS omniscient/authoritative, they are actually just a person and there’s a lot that they’re assuming or flat out making up, throwing the entire story so far into question

- narrator occasionally breaks from telling the story they’re telling in a removed, impartial-ish way to relate tangential personal anecdotes and opinions at great length and with a lot of feeling

Taurus: If it’s been hard to see where you’ve been going, if it’s been hard to see what it’s all for, that might start to change, this year. You might start to see your hard work begin to take shape, and you might start to see what all your sorrows and doubts have been for. If you’re willing to search and willing to dig, this year can bring treasure. If your eyes are open and your heart is true, everything you’ve done and everything you’ve been through can start to make sense, can start to mend, can start to bloom.

Gemini: This is going to be a year for honesty and a year for truth and a year for looking with clear eyes at the things that hurt you, the things that haunt you, the things that make your world strange. Try not to hide your brightest self. Try to see what is hidden. This is going to be a year for making choices and a year for speaking your own name out loud. This year will make you grow and this year might make you ache and this year will can leave you strong and happy and brave.

Cancer: This is a year for recognizing the truth of who you are, the truth of who you want to be, the truth of what you need to live. Everything you want, everything you love, is already good enough. There is knowledge that already lives in your skin, there’s knowledge that’s already buried deep in your guts, and you pay attention, you can feel it vibrating inside of you. It’s a year for learning new ways to listen and new ways to live in your body. It’s a year for telling the world who you are.

Leo: This is a year to keep working, a year to keep trying, a year to keep searching. This is a year to remind yourself how much it all matters, even when you’re tired, even when the nights are long. There is strength in your body, and there’s electricity in your words, and you have all the tools you need, even if they aren’t clear to you yet. Practice letting your world be unclear, letting your dreams get blurry and soft, letting time move slowly. Trust what you know and be gentle with the people around you.

The world is going to ask for bravery from you, and it’s going to ask for you to stretch and expand yourself, and it’s going to ask for you to try very hard. So many new things will enter your life, and all you have to do is keep moving. All you have to do is trust yourself to live your own life, trust your skin to know what you need, trust your feet to carry you forward.

Pisces: This year, the ground underneath you might shift and the sky overhead might brighten. The emotional structures you’ve built your whole life on might wobble and shake, just a little, just enough to make you free. This year you’ll be able to do things you never thought you would. You’ll be able to live in ways that never would’ve fit inside the boundaries of your life, before. You’ve always had the capacity for so much more than you knew. This year you can grow so much more fully into yourself.
