Lyanna being a literary mirror for Arya, Lyanna being Jon’s mother, Dany seeing the blue flower in the wall in her house of undying visions. Their connections to Lyanna/Rhaegar - the central mystery of the series.

Dany and Arya in Essos, being multilingual and familiar with Essosi cultures. ‘Lonely and Lovely and Lethal’ - Could describe both Dany and Arya. Arya, only Stark to have the traditional Stark look currently. Dany, only Targaryen to have the traditional Targaryen look currently. Jon being a link to both houses.

All 3 having a strong sense of justice. And sometimes that line between vengeance and justice blurs for them. They can be impulsive and make emotional decisions where loved ones are concerned. 

Connections to death, rebirth and prophecy. The Ghost of Hight Heart telling Arya that she smelled of death and Arya joining the FM at the house of black and white, Dany being called the daughter of death and Jon lying dead in the snow.

He wanted it, Jon knew then. He wanted it as  much as he had ever wanted anything. I have always wanted it, he  thought, guiltily. May the gods forgive me. It was a hunger inside him,  sharp as a dragonglass blade. A hunger … he could feel it.

It was a long moment before he understood  what was happening. When he did, he bolted to his feet. "Ghost?” He  turned toward the wood, and there he came, padding silently out of the  green dusk, the breath coming warm and white from his open jaws - Jon, ASoS

I just feel like these three characters will bond at a deeper level when they all meet - they share many characteristics, have a strong sense of wanting to do right, empathy and compassion, have magical pets and leadership skills, have connections to people other than nobles (With smallfolk, fisherfolk, whores, common criminals, slaves, Unsullied, Freefolk, the lowest of the low).

Probably not. Even in the show she didn’t take no for an answer. And she did it as a means of tricking him, or trying to. Like if he refused to fuck her she would’ve told Mance that he was playing them, I guess. He resisted her and said no. He may have been attracted to her but he still cared about his vows and mission. She came on strong from the start and at best sexually harassed him incessantly. (I hate applying current standards to a medieval fictional world but people do it for Dany all the time so I’m gonna).

He didn’t have to resist Dany. He went to her, willingly. He initiated it.

I think a lot of people who ship Ygritte and Jon, at least in the fandom sphere, do so because of the real life relationship between the actors, and they read Jonerys (and by extension their actors and their RL relationship) as a threat to that for some reason. Or they’re Jonsas who have nothing canon to compare to Jonerys so they throw Ygritte out there like anyone cares.

But no, that was not the healthiest relationship. She was blackmailing him, he was lying to her, he betrayed her and got her killed.

I am well aware of how she basically blackmailed him into a sexual relationship. And no I do not agree with or condone her behavior, but I also know that she came from a very different culture.

The wildlings did not consider her behavior abnormal, which I think a lot of people overlook. Ygritte’s aggressiveness, forcefulness, and cunning is valued among her people, so do you really want to judge someone for behaving within the confines of their culture? You can, but doing this is no different than holding Catelyn responsible for her bitterness toward her husband’s bastard. After all she was acting like every other high-born lady would have in that situation.

I love Ygritte because Jon loved her!

Jon’s time with Ygritte and the Free Folk served as a huge reality check for him. He realized for the first time in his life that things were not so black and white, and there were not always clear cut answers for complex situations.

Ygritte was one of Jon’s most important teachers, showing him what it meant to be free and live by your own authority. Ygritte taught Jon that being a bastard didn’t define who he was or diminish his value. She accepted him for who he was, and helped Jon to begin to do the same.

Jon thinks of Ygritte when he is unsure of himself or is feeling lost. She remains Jon’s inner guide, and is there, in spirit, to help him work through his doubts and inner conflicts.

That’s a truly terrible theory. 

First, it fails the Occam’s Razor test. What’s more likely, that GRRM consulted a 16th century demonological text to find a name that would be an abstruse clue as to Jon’s identity (while making no damn sense at all for Maester Aemon or Aemon the Dragonknight or any of the other half-dozen Aemons in the series), or that he started from “Aegon” and just tried out other variations of consonants to see what sounded and looked good?

Second, it doesn’t work in-universe. Rhaegar expected Jon to be a girl, because he believed that his children would be Aegon, Rhaenys, and Visenya come again. So Jon wouldn’t have been named Aemon (or Aegon, remember how dumb that was?) or any other traditional Targaryen boy’s name. 

Moreover, Rhaegar isn’t the one who got to make the choice. Whether Lyanna would have still gone along with Rhaegar’s plan after learning of the deaths of her brother and father, and after being immured in the Tower of Joy, is ultimately a matter of character interpretation. I think it unlikely. 

Third, it doesn’t really work character-wise. Ned named him Jon, that’s the name he grew up with, it’s the name he responds to. The only part of his name that Jon has a problem with is the Snow:
