Dave. Among other things.
I have such a heavy mind right now. Not necessarily bad. Mostly good. Just a lot of things (that are difficult to keep in). But I am going to narrow my list down considerably. Work is crazy, but good. Lots of shifting going on. Things will settle down soon. I can feel it. Moving on... A couple of nights ago, I met Dave. You know that scene in cheesy love stories, where two people meet for the first time, catch eyes, and for a split second, the world stops and all they can see is each other? Only to be torn away by friends moving in different directions. That is what happened to me. Full on brick wall. I turned around and we locked eyes and that was it. I have never experienced this feeling before. Im not going to say love. It was more like a state of utter bewilderment. It was like seeing a million stars exploding simultaneously and watching the embers fall. It was like our souls had brushed. I lost him in the crowd after it happened, but I couldn't shake it. As I was leaving I (thankfully) found him by the entrance, so we exchanged numbers and shortly thereafter, he texted me to let me know that he felt the same thing that I did. It was unbelievable. But I don't know where to go from here. I'm super awkward and I haven't dated in (too long). I know that good relationships take work and time. I want to build a relationship with Dave, I know that beyond a doubt. All I can think about is Dave. I would gladly venture through Dante's hell, just to see those beautiful brown eyes. I could go on alllllll night. I don't know what to do. I don't know how to tap into his mind, his interests. All I want to say is "yes, we can skip the small talk and move on to the real talk." But alas, it is necessary (I guess?). How do I delve deeper without overdoing it? I feel like such a boring person. How do I keep his interest? I am sooooo rusty. All I know is that I won't be able to sleep steady until I see him again. Which will hopefully be soon. Advice and suggestions are very welcome.
