Taeminnie month (25/31)

A moment in history. Actually for me the moment I jumped on board the SHINee train. The second World Tour and the absolutely insane performance of Jonghyun and Taemin. As a Shawol, we had our fair share of tragedy and heartache (and no I am not over it...never will be). The performance of "Internet World" is not included on the DVD and I guess no one is surprised about it.

The number of people who went batshit crazy in the worst possible way (especially in Korea) was frightening. Jonghyun had to face so much hatred and vitriol for what he dared to do (not sure which performance was more daring...Taipeh, Hongkong or Singapore...I opted for Taipeh 😂). Strangely enough, Taemin was sort of spared (not really but compared to what Jonghyun faced it was not as bad because they said he is the younger one of the two...do not understand the logic behind this argument tbh). It was truly sad because it showed exactly how homophobic Korean society truly is.

Nam Yoon Du, who plays Go Young in "Love in the Big City " is currently also facing seriously vicious slander and vitriol...nothing has changed.

Which is basically a gigantic "Fuck you all". The saddest part though is that we all know what happened to him only a few years down the road. I guess at some point you cannot laugh it off anymore (also... look at Binnie...)
