Hi guys this is a bit random and idk if anyone will even see this but I’d like to answer a question that I, and most likely other writers on here have been asked recently, which is about the usage of ai. I’ll blatantly say that I do not use it to write any of my works, because that is stupid to me. This platform isn’t just to make fics for people to enjoy, but is also a space for me to learn how to improve my writing. Artificial intelligence should not be used to replace the human experience and creativity that comes with making any form of art. And I know that ai is actually learning to be stronger at writing at a frightening rate, and the elements that I’ve loved to use in my writing are now being labeled as immediate signifiers of ai..? Em dashes, shorter sentences for punctuation, whatever the fuck else.., I know so many people on here INCLUDING ME that use these writing tools and love them, and it breaks my heart that we now can’t tell the difference between a robot and someone who actually puts effort in to write.
I’ll say it again, I do not and will not use ai to write on here. This has been a hobby of mine for years, and from now on I’ll take extra precautions before posting anything that could hint at being written by ai, even if it means learning how to write without those tools. I don’t want anyone to think I participate in such things that are doing so much damage. If anyone thinks otherwise, please just tell me directly so I can learn how to avoid said issues on this account. I’m sorry if anyone has thought that my work is not made by me, and I truly hope that you believe me when I say that I put effort into the writing I produce and I strive to grow by each day that goes by. 🤍
