It's Getting Better All The Time

I don’t know what was worse, the fact that you said you weren’t able to do this anymore, or seeing you shake uncontrollably while holding back tears and your voice trembling to get out the words you were trying to speak... It pained me to see you like that and it was the first time you really showed me the hurt you’ve been in lately. It made me feel like a failure, not because you said we couldn’t go on anymore as we were, but because I felt like I failed you as your partner. All I wanted to do was make you happy and be there for you but despite my best efforts, it doesn’t seem like it was able to do that. I know you have stressed to me that your decision had nothing to do with how I was with your or how things were with us, and it was because of personal things going on within your life. While I do understand why you would wanted to do this, it hurts that you don’t want me around to support you during these tough and trialing times you are going through. I’m sure you have your reasons though and while I may not quite know what they are, I respect your decision. All I want is for you to get better again and go back to being the Sweetpea I know and love. The journey back to that may be a long and difficult one, but I know you can do it and no matter what happens, I’m always here for you.
