It’s quite simple: in the game, before you actually enter a relationship with any characters, your character will turn eighteen! Now, the other writers and I haven’t completely worked out which date or what point in the game this will occur, but we’re still working on the timeline of things, to make sure that the story will make sense regardless of the person you pursue.

Unfortunately, the trade-off for a writing team of only those over the age of majority is that the process is somewhat slow: all of us are either full-time students in university, or we’re working full-time. Some of us are actually doing both! 

So, while progress is slow, there is progress being made! Just hang on, dears, and we’ll get there! Thank you for all your interest thus far!

Hello there my lovelies! It’s so good to be reaching out to all of you again. I’m only sorry it’s taken me so long. 

A brief update on the game’s actual progress: I’m nearly done outlining the events of the game that span across ALL romance routes, that essentially act as milestones within each relationship. While I do wish I’d been able to get further, it’s been a rough semester for me. Unfortunately, I recently had to be relocated just before finals in order for my safety to be preserved. Between that and being a full-time student, things haven’t been easy or fun for me.

But! Our darling project is still underway, and the writing team and I are looking forward to the soon-to-be days when we can be writing our little hearts out!

I’m terribly sorry, first of all, for having taken so long to get to your question. This semester has been a rough one for me, but I hope you know this project is not dead, not by any means! I’m so glad to hear that you’re hyped for the game–so is the whole team so far!

In regards to your questions:

1) Very likely not, unfortunately. As it is, given that this is a profit-free project, there would be no way to pay voice actors, unless we crowd funded for it. Which, admittedly, might be an option, but it would make the production time for the game much longer. While the dialogue would already be written, we would need to choose the voice actors, then work them through who knows how many lines, then mix and master it in with the rest of the game. Not to mention all the side characters we have who’d then need to be voiced too! Sadly, it simply doesn’t seem feasible. But if it’s something that a lot of people are interested, we might be able to crowdfund for it, and release it later as a patch. 

2) Unfortunately, not just yet–but it’s looking likely that it won’t be until 2018, unfortunately. This semester has been a rough one for me especially (which you can read more about here), but within a matter of days, the writing team and I will be buckling down and getting to the script. As it is, the outline is about half-way done, and once that’s been completed we can get to the actual scripting. Once we’re maybe halfway through the script, I’m going to start bringing the art team onboard, so that way there won’t be too long of a gap between phases of production.

Yes, I will! That’s coming up, anon, since the writers hae been chosen, but I’m in the process of contacting everyone nad making sure that they’re still up for the job before I go making any offical announcements! 

Unfortunately, anon, that won’t be an option. Given the branching nature of dating sims as a whole, and the effort that a game with fourteen love interests will take to program, it just isn’t feasible.

Unfortunately, dear anon, there’s no definite date on when exactly artists will be decided upon, or the application will be open! Ideally, I would very much like to have the story 3/4 of the way done before artists are brought onboard. This isn’t definite, but it’s a rough idea!

So far, it seems like this game will be programmed using a dating sim engine, such as Ren’Py. The exact engine isn’t decided on, given that in the end, it’ll come down to whatever the majority of the programming team is comfortable with!

Ah, unfortunately, my dear, you can’t. The game is limited to two love interests per part so far (excluding Part 8: Jojolion), all of which you can find right over here!

That’s a perfectly reasonable question, anon! 

The writers of this project will, for the most part, be helping me to build and write the various character interaction moments, as well as the romance routes. My hope is to have seven writers, each able to handle two characters out of the list of love interests. 

The story is the most imporant part of this whole game, so I’ll be working very intensively with everyone regarding the different routes, events, and character moments, as well as writing a fair bit myself!
