Loving you was the most self destructing thing that I’ve ever done
I hate seclusion. I find myself getting lost in an ocean of despair and your words rewinding in my head paralyse me everytime.
I’d never say it - not out loud - but sometimes, I wish it were night forever. I wish I could lie in bed and sleep and sleep and sleep, and just forget things, and not bother with anything, and keep the whole world at arms length, safely on the other side of my window. I want to stay among the sheets and sleep for days. I want to give up. But it’s dangerous to say that. Dangerous to admit it - because what does it mean? So I ignore it, when I can. I get up, and I trudge through the endless days, and the bags under my eyes get darker, heavier, and my heart feels weaker, slower, but I am living life. At least, I am pretending to. And that’s going to have to be okay. Right?

A merciful lie it would be if I tell him that I’m not hurting anymore. It would be a bigger lie if I tell myself that he doesn’t know.
He knows why i’m not eating or sleeping properly anymore, yet he still chose to look away.
Maybe it’s not fair, maybe my heart won’t be open to happiness with him like it used to in the beginning. But I can’t stop telling myself that he doesn’t know. The truth is, he does know. Probably why it hurts so bad.
And honey you tell me every day that love saves lives. But oh do your words cut deeper than a knife. That same love makes me want to burry myself from the world.
You turn a blind eye when I get stabbed exactly where it hurts the most and then tell me that I’m delusional. You can think that my words are fake but my pain sure is real.
I know their are some things that need to be forgotten if I want to go on living. But my fragile heart prevents me from living. I just hope it doesn’t prevent me from loving you.
The killer inside me
How can you stab me right where it hurts the most and expect me to heal overnight? How do you expect me to clean up the blood from my wounds when I’m still in the process of healing? But I am grateful though, grateful that my suffering did not force me to become as cruel as you.

Congratulations, you tore down the girl who would build up an entire universe for you.
I love you, not for the things you have to offer, but the support you’re willing to give. For the hand that grabs me just when I think I’m about to hit the ground. For every touch that leaves me yearning for more, the whirling sensation of your finger over my bare skin, that calms the hurricanes inside me. For the warmth you make me feel inside, without a single touch when it’s freezing cold outside. For being the human apparel that covers every flaw.
A love just like the movies
The wall between us
There’s a thick wall in-front of us. Only I have to cross.
I get a terrible wound every-time I cross that wall.
Wounds that are visible only on my naked soul.
if they were to show on my body, I’d be barely recognisable.
You wouldn’t know, you got your eyes on the jewel between my legs.
The rest is all a blur.
Since my honour is yours to protect.
But babe, they strip my self worth layer by layer on the other side.
Till there’s nothing left.
It’s not your fault though.
The wall was built to blind you.
In the beginning there's always star dust and poetry, but what about the in-betweens?
Sometimes these sudden bursts of depression overpower me like the moon over powers the sun at night, casting darkness upon my world.

"Not all toxic people are cruel and uncaring. Some of them love us dearly. Many of them have good intentions. Most are toxic to our being simply because their needs and way of existing in the world force us to compromise ourselves and our happiness. They aren’t inherently bad people, but they aren’t the right people for us. And as hard as it is, we have to let them go. Life is hard enough without being around people who bring you down, and as much as you care, you can’t destroy yourself for the sake of someone else. You have to make your wellbeing a priority. Whether that means breaking up with someone you care about, loving a family member from a distance, letting go of a friend, or removing yourself from a situation that feels painful — you have every right to leave and create a safer space for yourself." —Daniell Koepke
I don't know what's worse, the storm or the aftermath. But in your situation, I can clearly say the aftermath was God-awful than the storm.
