       steve watches the way the knife flies into the wall, then his gaze moves back to the other. ‘ if you’re so big && don’t get beaten up, why do you need all these things to protect you? ’

     “ nonsense, ” grant replies to steve’s apology with a smile of his own, before he’s shrugging and continuing on… “ i was simply commenting on how gorgeous you are. ” cheesy, ( and shallow, he knows but grant doesn’t really know much about steve past the way his glasses sit adorably on the bridge of his nose. ) if he gets a laugh, he’ll count it as a win. “ — you must get that a lot, though. ”

     there’s a small blush that covers his cheekbones at the compliment, not quite expecting it but he smiles nonetheless. ‘ i don’t, actually. ’ he admits, a small laugh coming over his lips. ‘ you’re not too bad yourself. ’ he said, with a shrug as he looked over grant. . . he takes a second to center himself && really think about making his choice, but he leans in && presses a small kiss to the corner of his lips.

“ You’re the one who ruined everything…I remember. You LEFT me with no other choice for my career but to become who I am TODAY. Tarnished my name.”

    ‘ please, howard -- just LISTEN to me. ’

“Just stay awake a little longer, okay?”
