When the New York indie improv scene exploded, it seemed like everyone was aware of each other’s work. People knew who was funny and which teams put on the best shows. Competition was friendly but fierce.

Today, there are theater operated digital teams. Like Harold Night or a successful run of a sketch show on the UCB stage, it’s extremely easy to stay aware of UCBcomedy’s impressive output. Naturally, there aren’t enough spots for everybody who is doing great work honing their craft elsewhere. So a lot of great videos made by our peers get lost in the shuffle.

There’s BEEN an explosion of indie comedy videos for years now. Personally, I would like to see the indie scene band together to better represent the community of independent video makers. That starts with:

Making great work.

Being more aware and supportive of the great work of our contemporaries.

NOUN VIDEO is an experiment in bringing this already flourishing scene closer together.
