Pope Francis is in South Korea this week. He landed at Seoul's Incheon Airport Thursday. In his 1990 encyclical letter, St. Pope John Paul II remarked that the Church's mission ad gentes should be chiefly oriented toward Asia. Pope Francis' visit to Seoul and the Diocese of Daejong is his first trip to Asia.
Just moments ago, I wrapped up my interview with South Korea's #1 foreign language radio network, TBS. On the Prime Time show with Henry Shinn, I discussed Pope Francis' Apostolic visit to South Korea, which began just hours ago. I'll post a link to the interview once I have it. In the meantime, please visit my website - www.pilgrimjournalist.com - to read more about the Francis Revolution.
PRIME TIME APPEARANCE IN SOUTH KOREA
On Wednesday, Pope Francis will depart from Rome's Fiumicino airport for Seoul, South Korea. He will arrive there on Thursday at 10:30am. His first day in the southern peninsula's capital city will be filled with appointments at the Apostolic Nunciature, the Blue House, and the headquarters of the Korean bishops' conference. That first day is slated to conclude around 6:30pm (Seoul time).
At that point, I will be going on the Prime Time program on South Korea's TBS network, the nation's #1 English language radio channel, with Henry Shinn to talk about the Apostolic visit and the Francis Revolution. Shinn has recently interviewed economist Jeffry Sachs; the former British Ambassador to Japan, Sir David Warren; the World Bank director, So Jae-hyang; and, Professor Cynthia Montgomery of the Harvard Business School, among others.
More details to come!
