i’m feelin’ hopeless in the gutters of my mind, nowhere to stop but nowhere to go. i’m crashin’ against the currents of my thoughts, the black clouds smothering my eyes and my lungs. and i’m wonderin’ if i’ll ever make it out alive from this ghost of a town i built inside my head. i’m screamin’ and cryin’ for a woman who always let me down, down the ladder into the scary parts i tried to hide from us. i never liked horror and she knew that, but i’m screamin’ even louder in her ears, but i know she can’t hear me anymore.

i’m all the fleshy bits between her teeth. i released the toxins from my broken heart. and i know she isn’t livin’ the life she wanted with me with someone else. she keeps runnin’ in the opposite direction, but i’m tryin’ to catch her. i was a game she never wanted to play. but i’m trapped in her cage and i don’t want to be free.
