I found this slice of audio buried under files of data on my computer. The words felt distant at first, I'd grown so much as a father. As a person.

I listened more. There was a vulnerability. A rawness. Something real in what I was saying at the time about fatherhood. The words made me cry.

The response made me doubt sharing these past feelings, but something deeper made me want to share it...

Mum @annieabegg standing under a 79 metre (and still growing) Tasmanian Swamp Gum, the tallest hardwood and flowering plant in the word (so the sign said underneath it). This was Mum’s first trip back to Tassie in 23 years, totally in her element 🌳
