Your eyelashes are about average, they’re adequately nice eyelashes. Don’t lie in bed at night worrying about them, I can give you other things to worry about. Do you want me to list them? Well, maybe you’ll get a chance to meet her one day, after she’s running your social media and all of that, to give you a good reputation. And because you’re a person in my life, I guess.

Would you tell me if they were short? I feel like average eyelashes is just so lame. Please, list all my flaws, I’d love to hear them all. I hope cooking isn’t one of them, I told Dacre and Katie to come over this weekend, and you should join us. Next time, you’re hosting though. I’m looking forward to meeting your mom, she’ll love me I just know it. I’m so important, I hope she already knows who I am.

Don’t get me wrong, Delta’s a sweetheart, and I don’t doubt that Alycia could give me a run for my money after getting to know her, but I think you’d be better off sticking with me, since I am the best, after all. Just saying. Oh no, it’s good enough, just throw in some bread and a salad and a glass of wine and also a dessert next time… and by next time, I mean that we should do dinner soon. It has to be a brightly colored backpack with funny shapes on it, though. That’s like the most important part of this whole thing. I am, I haven’t gotten tired of you yet! Even if you are a snarky little punk, wanting us to drop you off early…

You are the best. I’m lucky that I’m able to call you my friend even if you move my furnitures ever so slightly. That’s creepy, but I can deal with the creepy since you’re that great a friend. What about you guys come over for dinner this weekend? We’ll celebrate...not having anything to celebrate, but it’s not like we need that. I’ll ask Saoirse if she’s free as well. Make a party out of it. I’ll see you later when you come pick me up, we’ll talk more about it then.

Times are changing that I’m sure most shows or movies will be scrutinized, and I’m okay with that. Oh, of course. Though I will watch movies that are cringy because I want a good giggle. Like all of the Twilight movies? I cringe at most scenes, but part of me loves how cheesy how it gets. Oh, good, that’s a relief! A good bunch of people hasn’t watched it so I wasn’t sure. I remember the main songs! Mostly the one that Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli sang. I can play that song on repeat, and still sing on the top of my lungs, honestly. Send the playlists on over. I’ll be more than happy to listen to them. And besides, we might love the same artists since we have the same taste in music. I’ll send you a playlist or two that I made in case you wanted one. It was a lot of fun, and I’m highly grateful that I had the chance to go to it. Mhm, I can sense it. You don’t even have to ask twice, Joe. I’ll be there. I want you to bring your A-game when we go to the drum madness, okay? I want you to pour your heart out.

Yeah, definitely. But I’m also sure we are doing things today that won’t be okay at all in ten, twenty even thirty years. But I’m all for things getting better and better. Hopefully, it’s not just a today’s thing, and in ten years people will go back to being inconsiderate. Can I admit something? I’ve never seen a Twilight movie in it’s entirety. I know, I know, it’s cinema at its highest quality. It’s worst than not having seen Citizen Kane. Now I’m going to need you to do a little performance of those songs, just so I know what songs you’re talking about, you know. Hopefully you got my text with the playlists, tell me what you thought of them, would love to hear your input. Any of them were among your favorite artists? I’ll wait for those playlists. It was a lot of fun to take part in that drum madness, but now we’re back to work so it’s much less mad, although it’s kind of a different madness if we think about it.

Women notice them all the time, because we have this ideal where we are supposed to have long eyelashes. But it’s always the men who have them! Let me know what you think of his lashes, then. Are my eyelashes considered short or long? Now you’re going to make me insecure about things I never knew were even a thing. Is it? I have never noticed. I guess I’m kind of blind to things like that. I don’t know, they’re lashes? I don’t think about them, ever. I could, you don’t know that. I’m sure if I met your mom, she’d be my favorite. We didn’t die, I’m proud of us for that. 

Yeah, man! If you wanna go out and do something tomorrow, lemme know, I’ve got the day mostly free, maybe we can meet up in the morning before it gets too hot and go do that bone rattler bike park? It looks like it’ll be a challenge, but hey, we’re up for that, right? I can’t even imagine, either. It’s going to be weird watching the next season, to see how much everyone’s changed! But not a bad weird, just fun to see how they’re able to play it off. But then again, I’m just excited in general.

I’m only working tomorrow afternoon, so are you in for it tomorrow? That way if I get hurt biking, I can just blame you. But all jokes aside, it could be a fun morning out, at least it’ll force me out of bed. I’m always up for a challenge! I just hope it won’t be too obvious within the season itself. Because the kid who plays Mike, who’s not that much of a kid anymore, for the second It movie they used CGI, and that was just weird. 

Oh, that’s why you keep me around, to just pass off all of the vegemite to me…? You know, I’m not going to complain, I actually do really enjoy it now and then, so at least I’m getting free food out of this friendship. No, me neither. It’s just not the kind of person I am. I’m not saying that mistakes and accidents don’t happen, obviously, but purposely being an arse isn’t really my thing, thank God. So we’ll be stick together! It does, and we did once say that you were our son, so doesn’t it make sense that we’re picking you up and dropping you off at work? Even if we’re all going to the same place, we’ll sit in the car for another minute or so, just so we can say, ‘have a great day, sweetie!’ Be really embarrassing. Oh, come on, you’re incredibly important! This world wouldn’t know what to do without you. Hmm… okay. Maybe I’ll give her president, then? Let’s, please. We can make some time to do something before we head home!

Why else? I mean, now I have two other australian friends, with Delta and Alycia...I might not need you as much as I thought with that vegemite. You get free food, for sure. When I make you my killer pasta dishes, is that not good enough? I don’t think it is either, I don’t think we’d be that close if you were purposely an arse. It makes so much sense for you to pick me up and bring me to work. Maybe I can even have a backpack to emphasize how weird this is. Oh please drop me off like, a mile away, I wouldn’t want my friends to think my parents are always with me. So enjoying seeing me everyday for work?

It’s true, could you imagine if we just suddenly weren’t allowed to use our phones…? We honestly wouldn’t know what to do with ourselves! And you’re right about so many things being exclusive to social media, too. I’m loving it! I am becoming a total nature girl out here, can’t lie. How about you? Have you done anything super fun yet?

I like that this means we would still have them around, but just not be allowed to use them. That would be torture, I’d rather they wouldn’t exist. I don’t think it’d be that terrible if that was the case, but them being taken away would be complicated. Are you moving to the middle of nowhere now because of the trip? I did a bunch of fun things, luckily didn’t get lost! 

Olympic athletes are super humans. We can’t beat them, no one can. So you’re good! I am ready to thirdwheel you till the river adventures afternoon where you’ll fall off the boat for mysterious reasons.

Did you watch any of the games? It’s really interesting. Did you make it back to Bayview safely?

Ah, so I should be on the lookout for you and see if you make a random appearance? It’s upsetting because Friends was one of my favorite shows to rewatch, but some of the jokes now are a little too cringy. Still, I’ll rewatch a couple of episodes whenever I need a good laugh. Did you ever watch Quest for Camelot? I loved it growing up, and I would sing some of the songs on repeat, but it was painful to watch again! Hm, I usually go for Indies, maybe some soft rock… really depends on how my mood is, but I do listen to a variety of genres if that helps. You might as well bring a book to read or great company to keep you entertained during the entire flight. It all takes practice! And again, it helps to have a music teacher as a parent. That and the high school I went to was mostly focused on performing arts. Hm, yes and no? I played percussion for years, got in bands, partnerships, etc. My heart is with acting, though. Okay, okay. I won’t listen to a word Dacre says. I’m sure you’re not nice and good company at all.

I don’t know if that would be a good use of your time, but I’m not stopping you if that’s what you want to do. They really are, but I think it’s okay to accept it as a show with flaws, and I’m sure the things I’m working on today will be looked back on in twenty years and there will be criticism and that’s okay too. It’s always easier to rewatch a cringy show that you used to watch, than try and watch something you never watched and find it cringy because you don’t have the emotional connection to it. I did! I don’t remember singing any of the songs, but my sisters did for sure, it was an interesting bunch. Do you still remember the songs? I listen to the same kind of music, so if you ever want to send your playlists my way I’m always looking to discover some new bands or sounds I haven’t heard before. I would have loved to go to a performing arts high school. Oh I’m the worst. I’m doing the drum circle madness activity the resort is offering, so feel free to join me then since you seem to also be enjoying music pretty much as much as I do.

Oh yeah, there’s definite eras that I refuse to acknowledge or think about when it comes to music I’ve written or sang. It’s totally allowed, sure not everything is always going to work out, but doesn’t mean we have to remember them either! Sometimes the different people we work with are what shape us and really bring us into our own. Honestly, being in DNCE made me feel stronger as a writer and performer than Jonas Brothers did back in the day. Awesome I’m gonna go digging around Spotify to see what Djo pulls up now. Definitely will though, I’m always looking for new music to promote on Spotify too so don’t be shocked if you randomly see it on my instagram. Nah, they don’t. DNCE is a dance rock band where JoBros are pop maybe pop rock if you stretch it a bit. Are you going out on the upcoming trip that’s coming up? Have to say it being a mystery made me want to go that much more since I’m so damn nosey sometimes. 

Listen, I think we all do. But the thing with you is that everyone can listen to it. While the music I wrote when I was a teenager, it’s not out there for everyone to stream. Just so you can understand how bad it was, I called myself ‘Cool Cool Cool’, and one of the song I wrote was ‘Im not smart’, so really, everything you wrote was probably better than that. Plus you didn’t have the family part with DNCE, even if I’m sure they ended up feeling like family. I know the guys from Post Animal are like brothers to me and while I don’t get to perform with them anymore, they’re still some of my best friends. I did delete my Instagram account today, but Djo’s account is still up and running, I don’t think my manager will let me delete that one. I’m on the trip! How are you enjoying it so far?

Thanks, bud, that means a lot to me. And you know that I will be your number one cheerleader, too! We’ve got each other’s backs, that’s what friendships are for. Alright, good deal – I’m definitely going on the trip, so it’ll be good motivation to get to work together. It really is, honestly. We’re done learning the basics, anyway! But I feel like there’s still so much to learn, the difference is that some people just aren’t open to it. Does that make you feel incredibly old, watching them get older and older? Me too, I think it’s gonna be a blast.

Did you see all the biking stuff there is on the trip? Like they aren’t actual group events, but there are tons of options if you’d like to do that before going back to Bayview. I actually rented a bike the other day and it’s been a lot of fun, so I highly recommend doing that. It does! I can’t imagine how parents feel because I always saw them as kids and some are soon going to be the age I was when I started working on Stranger Things while I’m turning thirty next year.

Well, not him as a man, but there’s still plenty women can envy in him. Namely- his eyelashes. The only Irish person you know at all? That’s just sad for you, honestly. We’re a fun lot. You should expand your horizons, as long as I continue to be your favorite.

Among the things I don’t notice are eyelashes, I guess? But I’ll be sure to look deep into his eyes to check what you mean, next time I’m with him. It is!
