“You’re not the worst person,” she sighed before nudging her friend as hard as she could, which isn’t a lot because she’s weak af right now. “You just... were put in a difficult situation and had to come up with some kind of solution.” she let her head fall gently on her friend’s shoulder. “I know what that’s like, trust me. It doesn’t mean you’re an awful person, you were just put in an awful position.”

“Which reminds me,” she bit down on her lip and took another sip of water before looking back at Lydia. “How have you been feeling about... everything? And... I mean, how are you and Nate?” she frowned slightly. “Is everything okay with you two again?”

Jodi mouthed “thank you” before taking the bottle back from her friend and taking a few big chugs. “I don’t blame ya,” she laughed slightly before wincing and placing her head in her hands. “Got any Aspirin, nurse sweets?” she watched as the girl walked over to her bathroom to grab her some medicine. “You ever get sick of me?” It was a random question, but one she had been thinking about lately. “I mean, I would be, especially showing up on your doorstep as a sloppy mess.”

Jodi felt a lump form in her throat, she was getting more and more anxious. “Wh---What kind of bad thing?” she got closer to the girl. “Lydia, are you okay?”

She nodded slowly. “Yeah...” she could see her friend was having trouble trying to explain everything so Jodi placed her hand on top of Lydia’s. “C’mon, you can tell me anything, sweets.”
