Heatherâs Childhood DreamâŚ
Nothing is better than sitting in the Hairdresserâs Chair, getting pampered and gossiped too is every womanâs secret fantasyâŚ
Today I was into hair treatment number 3 of my decent into gray blending when I struck up a conversation with my still newer hairdresser, Heather
The first thing I said to her was âI am sorry my hair is a disasterâ to that I thought, âduh Jodie thats why you are hereâ. She told me everyone says that. Then she said âwhy do we as humans feel the need to apologize for every damn thing? What has happened to us?â
This conversation then toppled into a âremember whenâ dialogue. She told me about when she was little she knew she was going to be married 7 times and she had even picked out the first one would be a surfer dude, the second one would be an Australian outback type dude and the last one would be an Italian Mobster. I asked her why Italian Mobster and she said when she was little it was because they made good spaghetti. I found myself fascinated by this train if thought, as I thought I was going to have a prince charming ride up on a white horse.
We are all different. Different mind sets. Different upbringings. Different cultures. The cool thing about that is how much we can learn about the world just by listening and entertaining the thought, maybe my way isnât always the right way.
*disclaimer* no offense to Italians or Mobsters or princes or horses that are whiteâŚagain it was a childhood dreamâŚwhy am I apologizing?!
