              𝓐𝓼 if Paul would really let this KID go hungry so that he may have something to eat, it would be wrong, simply put, as a GROWN MAN to take food from someone younger than himself. He’d managed thus far, going from a day to even a FEW w i t h o u t eating, and he would manage now, just as he had many times before. ❛ you’re RIGHT, it isn’t, but ’m not going to let you go hungry. eat up, i’ll be fine. ❜ the left corner of his mouth TWISTS upwards into a half-smile as he gives her a light nudge with his shoulder.

Retracting her hand, Beth’s fingers fumbled with the protein bar as she tore the packaging open. As hungry as she was, she wasn’t going to just eat the whole thing right in front of him, it just wasn’t in her nature. Instead, she broke it in half and held one of the halves out to him. “Sharing is caring, right?”

He nodded, “Well make sure to check in with her later to make sure that don’t need stitches.”He said. He moved to dig in his bag reaching for the bottom of the bag pulling out the bottle and handing it to her. “Nah, you can have it–this is more important.”

“Oh I will.” She nodded, taking the bottle from him. Beth turned and went to walk away, only managing a few steps before stopping and turning back towards him. “Is everythin’ okay? You seem a little more grumpy than usual.”

“Did ya check in with Denise?”He asked raising a brow, “I got a half’a bottle of vodka but that probably wouldn’t be the same.”He said as he wasn’t sure it would help her cut. 

Beth shook her head, “She was dealin’ with someone else, looked pretty busy.” She told him, “It’s better than nothing at all. Or did you wanna save it for a special occasion?”

“’m glad she was there.”He said quietly as he knew a whole hell of a lot worse things could have happened if she wasn’t. “Should put some alcohol on it, just so it don’t get infected.”He told her. 

“Me too.” She agreed, hands dropping down to her sides. “Actually that’s what I’ve been looking for, can’t seem to find any. Don’t suppose you’ve see any lyin’ around?”
