some of the big blogs on here are only big because they got here early and made friends with the right people and thats it (keyword SOME) the writing is not special the takes are not special the fics are not special they just have a little mutual circle that reblogs everything they post or theyre related to tumblrs version of a celebrity and boom ur a “big blog”
some people need to learn that pretty formatting isnt writing like u can put all the lace dividers tiny text pink bows and aesthetic banners you want but if the actual fic reads like a wattpad draft from 2016 im not gonna read
some writers are not “underrated” theyre just not good 😭 there i said it every other day someone is crying about low notes and “lack of engagement” and then you click their masterlist and its 900 words and five paragraphs of nothing

Everyone wants to write the characters like they're American. Frat aus, accents and dialogue where they say stuff like "Yer doin' s' good f'me" or something insane like that. I don't think it's concious discrimination but it starts to feel racist after a while of seeing it repeatedly from the same person.
