does anyone have recommendations for writing hosting outside of google docs that I can keep semi-private? i want to host my archive writing somewhere that i can password protect it bc i do NOT want my shit on ao3 in the wild, but most website/blog sites are now subscription so im torn,,,

I'm personally pretty down to read gdocs heheh but to each their own! The real ones will read your gdocs trust...

but I'm hearing there's a NSFW-friendly ko-fi alternative built on atproto that's actively in the works, and being vetted by lawyers right now. as torrent-princess (OP) says, you should be able to swap out payment processors while keeping your account intact. this matters since even if stripe removes support, you'll still have a shop and all of your links intact. (ATproto is an infrastructure that bsky is built on, but is far bigger than bsky with far more opportunities.)

additionally, the Free Speech Coalition is working on a credit union specifically for adult work (including kink art) - here's the link so you can add your interest & support. Since this will be built by sex workers, there'll be far less risk of being debanked for spurious and puritanical reasons.

on a domain TLD level, there's an initiative here for a .furry domain built from the ground up by seasoned furries; it's unclear whether they'll support NSFW, but it's yet another promising turn of events for a group that's been similarly affected by censorship.

re: natural look... I love rotoscoped animation for precisely this reason, but as a totally amateur animator I find it's also pretty difficult to stylise :^D dr looks quite different from (actor) zhang luyi (who is a very handsome man, I must say -- even after staring at his face with great intensity for over 10 hours of making this), so it was tricky figuring out just how to make different features ... but, I feel like I learned a lot about face angles this way :D

the colour grading and backdrop from the drama/gifset itself was already very very gorgeous, so I feel like i got to take a nice shortcut, but it also definitely makes me feel like I have sooo much to learn about designing colours and setting :^D

Thank you for making it!!! it was such a treat to peruse all the zhang luyis in one place. i mentioned earlier, but it's incredible how different the characters move, even portrayed by the same actor... you've got excellent taste :^D and yeah, I was genuinely captivated by this one. it happened to fit a character/setting of mine, but all on its own, it's such a fantastic look. or maybe my bias for republican era aesthetics is showing LOL
