Day 30: a song that reminds you of yourself In the sun by she and him Why did this song come to mind ... not exactly sure but the whole sound of the music and the look and feel of the music video is something that I think I used to wish I would like to do and make. And the rather bright and happy go lucky is kinda me, too. I came to realize and accept that I'm a very optimistic person and that at times, because of it, I lack a sense of reality. So is that the end of the 30 day challenge?! Holy moly. That was fun cuz I got to learn new very good songs from friends who also did the challenge and remembered songs I had forgotten about.

Day 29: a song that you remember from childhood Dreams come true by SES Oh hands down absolutely that this would be my theme song from childhood. I got into Kpop in 6th grade and watched the video recording of this song so many times that the vcr broke and even performed the choreography along to this song at my not too many asians kind of middle school w my 2 other rare korean friends. Oh shooot-- before this phase there was the spice girls phase too! That was pretty intense as well. Oh man memories :))))

Day 28: a song by an artist with a voice that you love Through the night by IU I admit, I do like her voice and her singing style esp when she sings for acoustic songs. One of the few people with whom I wouldn't mind switching lives. Harharhar.

Day 26: a song that makes you want to fall in love Lover you should have come over by Jeff Buckley ''Tis been Hard to think of artists other than Jeff Buckley for many of the challenge days. Today's spots gotta be for him too.

Day 25: a song by an artist no longer living Human nature by Michael Jackson Yea ... tried to think of an artist I didn't mention yet in this challenge but I couldn't think of anyone else that I really felt for. And esp this song because I hadn't known about this song of his until I watched the movie this is it and I was totally mesmerized by the scenes w this song.

Day 24: A song by a band/group you wish were still together Excuses by morning benders Man ... watching the music video again I still wish they were back. They really were my favorites once cuz I felt I knew them before they got rather big. I even went to a small show they had in OC and talked to all of the band members and even their mom who was helping w the merch!

i’d love for my friends to listen to this song and feel his harmonica and guitar sounds. although the lyrics of course express the meaning of the song, i think his instrumental parts also well express the message. 

oh yes definitely. as soon as the song begins i feel like i’m a warrior riding my mighty horse and racing to my battle. bhaha 

what else you got?! 

My mom was often quirky like that to me. Not a typical “Korean mom” that I saw and knew. Perhaps I was a conservative kid-- cuz I didn’t understand her when I was little. But now when I look back at the things she did that I at the time found strange, oh man, what hip woman my mother was. 

Day 19: A song that makes you think about life Around thirty or so by kim kwang suk 3-0!!! Never thought I'd reach the age that this song refers to. Yea it did make me think about life. So, what is life?

Day 18: A song from the year you were born The way you make me feel by Michael Jackson Oh yea ~~~!!

Day 17: A song that features your favorite artist Margarita by sleepy Brown featuring Pharrell Williams I don't think there was ever a song that featured Pharrell that I didn't like. One of them is this. I was obsessed w this song back in the day.

Day 16: One of your favorite songs from a movie What a difference a day made by Dinah Washington I love this song! I think I may have been waiting for this day 16 entry the first time that I took a glance at the list of this challenge. This song is actually in two movies that really impressed me: Run Lola Run and Chungking Express. I think I first heard it in run Lola run and then when I was saw Chungking and I heard this song come out, I almost had a heart attack cuz both scenes were so beautiful and I was so happy about the coincidence. Good ol days when I was more film obsessed and be able to name rather arthouse movies. And now I'm someone that hardly spends time watching films ...

I missed three days of not doing this ?? No way ... alright. I'm back. Day 15: a song that is a cover by another artist Across the universe by Fiona Apple You know, once again I'm glad for this challenge. For this day I first thought of John Mayer's Freefallin but to be honest wasn't satisfied and started to feel like I suck because I don't even know any good cover songs but then I started to think of more and one of them I am very grateful for for remembering is this one. Heeee ✌️

Day 14: a song you would love played at your wedding I will love you by dongmulwon Another super proper goodie goodie korean old folk song that I hardly listen to. But this is a song that reminds me of a particular happy moment in my childhood... en route on a family road trip to Canada, sitting with my sister in the backseat singing along to this gentle sounding Korean song that mom and dad would play and adding our wackiness to it which makes us burst into laughter... Oh man I bet I'd burst into tears at the prelude.

Day 13: One of your favorite 70s songs Isn't she lovely by Stevie Wonder I'm posting this late cuz yesterday I couldn't think of a song I particularly like from the 70s. Then I looked at digital backpack and its day 13 song link led me to finding this song and oh yes hands-down I would choose this song as one of my favorites from the 70s. On a sidenote and perhaps quite a disappointing one, I do not really know what songs are from which decade. I need to study more.
