I do watch telly sometimes, yeah.

I'm fond of Doctor Who, but I also like Life on mars.

That's ridiculous, they're fictional monsters designed to scare cretins and children.

And more recently make the more idiotic teenagers swoon.

Dostoevsky was a good author. I'm glad my ask has intelligent questions to answer.

In theory, it sounds great (Impractical, but great.) But obviously there are several faults. It would quickly become a class thing, eliminating the original ideals entirely. If a society was to start out on those ideals, then it may have a chance, but changing a society to fit the theory, wouldn't work, there's too much corruption in the world. And as we saw demonstrated in the book, Raskolnikov saw himself as a great man, leading him to feel entitled to commit murder. Clearly he was not a 'great', but what constitutes 'great'? Who picks those allowed to be outside the law? Can they be corrupted with bribes and promises? Besides, he went mad fairly quickly, clearly not an extraordinary man.

Oh, agreed that you could take over large parts of the world through that. Though, to be honest, how do you expect anyone to believe your threats if you've never actually had someone killed?

You can't 'take over the world' though. That's a child's dream and one that I particularly dispose. How boring would it be? Controlling everything. There'd be nothing to do. Ever. Ugh.
