Loki turned to face her and nodded, “Sure.” He said, smiling at her again.

"Why are you named after a god?" she eyed him with curiosity.

He watches as the man scrambles away.  He thinks, "I'm glad that is over." He turns and looks at the young woman, now recognizing her as the dance from the club.  He says, "You do not owe me anything Miss."  He looks her over a little, then says, "He did not injure you did he?"

"Eh.. no. No, I do not think so.." The girl never turned her eyes from the stranger's face, not remembering having felt anything with the exception of probing hands. As he mentioned he didn't owe her anything she shook her head stubbornly. "No, really. You know how it would have ended. Let me buy you a drink to thank you, it's the least thing I can do."

Jimena couldn't help but utter a short laugh at the girl's statement of meaning no harm. She nodded, accepting her offer. "Thanks a lot. I owe you one."

"No work as in no job? That sucks. What can you do?"

"Well.. I'm a dancer, but I have worked as a waitress for one summer. Why?"

"Why are you so rude?"

"I.. I'm sorry. I just asked you a question."

"Yeah," he murmured, slipping his hand out of hers and returning it to his side, "Um, just down the street a couple blocks, and it’ll be on your right."

Jimena cast him a smile and nodded. "Thank you." She slipped past him ready to go, but then turned back to him. "Can I ask something else?"
