Dear Jeff D’Onofrio, 

Your attempt to chalk up your new community guidelines as an effort to “create a place where more people feel comfortable expressing themselves” is laughable. It’s an insult to the majority of tumblr users who use this platform to express themselves through their sexuality, bodies, eroticism, porn, nudity, cum, breasts, “female nipples” and the amazing variety of individual expression to be found in “adult content”. 

Adult content is legitimate content. It should be able to exist, to thrive, and to be a part of a safe, sane and consensual tumblr platform. Tumblr is one of the only places that allows individuals to curate their own relationship with visual stimulation. THESE ARE OUR IDENTITIES. You have the responsibility to honor them as they are. If the content isn’t abusive, then what is the problem?

Sanitizing the tumblr platform will not invite new users. You and the bullshit that worked on this decision for months can eat a bag of dicks.
