hey! so for those of you who didn’t already know, i currently live in Japan, where same-sex marriage is not yet legal. tomorrow afternoon, the Japanese Diet is having a hearing concerning same-sex marriage, and they’re “gauging interest” based on the viewership of the livestream. basically, if people don’t watch, they’ll just write off the issue as niche and avoid it for as long as possible.

I miss working in a reptile center and ppl would just come in like “we found this turtle. Nothings wrong with him. We brought it in just in case you want it.”

One time someone brought in an eagle the hit with their car. I was like “this is a reptile center” and they were like “well I’m not leaving with this eagle. I’ve got to go to work.”

This was before I worked in bird rehab so I knew nothing about them. I made some calls and someone picked it up for me and a few days later they were like “hey that eagle had West Nile virus just a heads up”
