Do Great Things
This blog is all about celebrating the great things people do. I want to encourage everyone to share their stories, big or small, because 2025 is my year to focus on the positive. Sure, life has its ups and downs—we can acknowledge the tough stuff—but why not take the time to celebrate the good?
For example, today, the weather is chilly, but the sun is shining, and it feels amazing. There’s no real snow on the ground, which is a win for this time of year! I even managed to grocery shop stress-free—ordered online and picked it up without a hitch (modern convenience for the win!).
Last night, I had a nice chat with my dad. I assured him I made it back safely from Minnesota and let him know I got the envelope he sent. We ended up laughing about an old saying of his: “You can pick your friends, and you can pick your nose. But you can’t pick your friend’s nose.” It’s goofy, but it brought us both a good laugh. He was also happy to hear I’ve been saving money lately—a little win for the budget!
These moments might not seem like “great things” at first glance, but they are. Some great things are just bigger than others, and that’s okay.
What about you? What are your “great things” today? I’d love to hear them!
