I will be posting problems I face during my project, snippets of pseudo code and code written within the Bela IDE, Videos of some of the fabrication of the different objects, pictures of the objects and sculptures I create.
Primary research During the early stages of my project proposal, I looked at the works of David Tudor and the way in which he created complex sculptures in which to experiment with feedback loops in order to create an audio-visual installation. I will be referencing David Tudors website throughout my project taking inspiration from his manifesto for "Rainforest IV" (1). The basis for his piece was to experiment with audio transducers to create sound sculptures which produce audio which could be recorded by contact microphones and fed back through the system. For this piece, it states that any number of performers can participate. Each object will have different properties which the performer will learn to recognise when creating them. For my adaptation, I want to create a system which implements David Tudors original works but developed for beagle bone and the Bela embedded platform (2).
