They will notice what matters to their goal, fear, desire, training, wound, or obsession. A jealous character notices hands. a hungry character notices food. A soldier notices exits. A lonely character notices pairs. Description becomes character when attention has a bias.

you know, it's one of those days when I'm googling the elven population of Beleriand in the First Age. wtf.

lol so I'm working on wrath and ruin right? and I just realized that the first 3 chapters I have ready to go for the story, before they are edited, are sitting at 5k+ each. The first is 9k cuz I can't find a good way to split it, so there's that.

I even have a chapter outline. I just did not realize that each chapter was gonna be so CHONKY.
