So i had this weird dream today that felt like it could be an actual prediction of TPOT 23-25
Not exactly what'll happen in it but i have a feeling they'll be showing a lot of flashbacks.. especially with Four and X specifically. They're probably the two characters who has the most explaining to do.
So here's a prediction (or a theory) of how Four and X spent their time during the years before they hosted BFB.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
After trapping One away on the moon, they decided to stay on Earth, a planet closest to the moon to keep a close eye on One.
They spent their lives isolated from everyone else. In Four's perspective, this was punishment for himself for doing what he did to One, though this was moreso a subconcious thought. But he does not realize that the "isolation" wasn't completely isolating as he has X by his side. There's a whole other discussion I could mention with X being affected by this isolation but we'll move on for now-
By the time Four got really interested in BFDI, Four and X realized the existence of the "BFDI cameras," the very same cameras that were on the contestants and the POV that the "strange" (viewers) were seeing through. One day, one of the BFDI cameras were pointed at Four and X, who were only minding their own business. Four was rambling about some random topic to X, then suddenly stops as he realizes one of the BFDI cameras were on him. He freezes, then quickly hides himself away from the camera. X realizes that there was a camera, but doesn't understand immediately why Four would hide from it.
Turns out, despite Four's want to be on BFDI someday, he had a lil bit of stage fright. How was he going to get on his favorite show if he couldn't even muster the courage to be on camera?
So, X offers to help Four be more confident, to practice "performing" for the world.
And so the next few years were spent analyzing the various BFDI hosts, coming up with challenges that they might want on their show, how they'd act in front of camera, and basically boosts Four's confidence at getting himself out there. X always said to "be yourself" on camera, but Four took it completely differently. He wanted to be the most ideal BFDI host, he wanted to be the best of the best. He didn't really like "himself," not that he hated himself, but he thought that who he was now wasn't the ideal host for a show like BFDI. If he was going to be the best, he'll have to become someone different. And so he crafted a mask of himself that was different than who he actually was. He took features of himself and exaggerated them to 100%, a character that he knew would be entertaining to watch. The character we know of Four today, the one who smiles all the way through, the weird but "fun" one (his definition of fun which was being very violent towards the contestants). X was concerned about this "mask" Four made for himself, but Four reassures X that this will be what'll make him the greatest host of BFDI. And it wasn't like he wasn't "being himself," he just had to be more shameless and go all out. All X had to do was play along. X wasn't sure about this, but decided to agree anyway. It was all just some silly game show anyway, how bad would it be?
With this context, the events of BFB were a result of the mask Four put on for the sake of entertainment, not realizing that these contestants actually had feelings he had to consider. Slowly but surely, this mask broke itself apart, with Four slowly realizing that the contestants just did not like him when he was like that. Perhaps at some point away from the cameras, X manages to have a talk with Four that helps him realize a few things. So when Post split rolled around, he tried something different. A different mask. It was on the spot, and a little bit on a whim, but he starts bringing down some walls and being more.. "relatable." But ofc, despite having some reasonable crash outs, he takes things way too far (coughs bfb 28 when he trapped himself beneath the sand and in the finale where he basically ran away and became the sun. Not the best Four moment eugh..).
Basically Four is really bad at balancing shit when he's trying too hard
After BFB ended, i would guess that this was when Four gave up on trying to be entertaining, and just did things for himself. And whaddya know, the one episode where he gets to host in TPOT is when his character felt the most balanced.

Yea that's it. This whole thing actually intrigues me in a way, might implement a few aspects into my own au...
