and god this is good. i actually really do love a whumper who feels threatened, actually IS threatened, in some way in a precarious situation, unsafe, at risk, and what they decide to do is sacrifice whumpee, who they've already hurt in other ways.

Or, whumpee knowing whumper will abuse the child, too, and it doesn't matter how much whumpee loves or loathes the thing growing inside them, they can't let this monster get to them. They have to get out, they have to.

The fear of, and agonising pain that comes with birth. The suffocating dread that grows stronger and stronger the closer it comes
