Currently sat up in bed, still feeling like shit and half asleep, my hair is all over the place, I’m shirtless, I’m watching a movie that would make 12 year old me scream, aaaand I feel weirdly real and unreal at the same time
For some reason I feel kinda lonely? Like I wish I had a friend here rn and there’s no pressure to talk or anything or actually do something. It’s just us two and we can sit in silence or talk if we want to and stuff like that. And if I get really sleepy maybe I could sleep on or next to them and if they were sleepy I’d be more than happy to let them do the same
I’d love to just be held for a bit and stuff and maybe get my hair played with if they’d want to, and if not I’m more than happy to just sit here with them
I’d love to just have someone’s presence with zero expectations
Things I did in high school:
- founded and led a club for LGBTQIA+ students to have a safe space alongside one of my teachers (she bought me a bracelet and my favourite squashies and gave me a card at graduation and SCREAMED when I won the responsibility award. Shoutout Mrs D)
- ran every year groups progress review evening from the end of year 10 through to the end of year 11
- constantly stayed behind after school to help with stuff when I could
- helped out at every open evening (it was totally secretly just to teach people to play various instruments)
- skived quite a few lessons in years 10 and 11 😬
- got through some really bad struggles whilst attempting to be a leader
- helped organise remembrance in 2024 and 2025, including commanding cadet drill
- according to my music teacher, i was “way too much of a people pleaser” because i would sit and help other people before even beginning my work (which actually caused me to lose marks in one music exam component)
- also helped other people with their drama pieces before working on mine
- same with most other subjects ^
- yeah idk what i was saying i keep zoning out really badly and im not exactly doing too great but hey when am i ever doing great
