From 2006 to 2014, 334 bystanders were injured — one for every 10 LAPD pursuits, according to The Times’ review of pursuit data reported to the California Highway Patrol.

Mexico’s National Palace Burns

November 8, 2014: 43 days after 43 students were disappeared by the State, Mexico’s Palacio Nacional burns

Protesters chanted “¡Fuera, Peña!” while others rammed the main door to Mexico’s national palace with a metal barricade as thousands marched into the Zócalo from PGR headquarters Saturday night. Soon after the door to the national palace was set ablaze.

Meanwhile, EPN prepares to leave in just hours for a 7-day trip to China and Australia.

Some dismissed those who broke the door, spray painted the walls of the palace and ultimately set it ablaze as infiltrators, however, several reporters and citizen journalists on the ground documented a palpable anger in the air as demonstrators began arriving to the Zócalo.
