What if... Ayla was in Final Fantasy XV gameplay?

I’m replaying FFXV with the Avatara mod, which lets you swap Noctis for your custom Comrades avatar. During this gameplay, I kept imagining what Ayla would be like inside the game, so I took some screenshots, recorded a few videos, and used my artistic skills to edit and paint over them to get closer to how I envision her. And here we are!

It’ll also be pretty useful to mess around with dialogue screens and maybe explore Ayla’s interactions with the other bros a bit more.

Prompto and Ayla (OC) This time I wrote a oneshot about Ayla and Prompto to post with the art. During the Eternal Night, Ayla ends up leading a medical post in Lestallum, and she’s constantly patching Prompto up whenever he comes back from hunts. The full oneshot is here

Preview:

Ayla smiled, biting her lower lip where her piercing was, and stepped closer. Before he could say anything, she leaned in and kissed him on the lips. Immediately, Prompto, with his good arm, carefully held the back of her neck, letting himself savor every second of the kiss.

Then, suddenly, a voice called from the medical post:

“Mrs. Crasspetra! We need you here!”

Prompto huffed mid-kiss.

“I have to go,” she said, still smiling, her voice playful. “Don’t pout, it’s my job.”

He sighed, letting her pull away, but just as she was about to leave, he couldn’t help himself. He grabbed her back by the waist, drawing her close again. He rested his forehead against hers and whispered:

“I’d be less upset if they called you Mrs. Argentum.”

He felt his cheeks heat up. He’d never said that to her before; it had simply slipped out.

But feeling Ayla melt into his arms in that moment was enough to push away any insecurity about saying it.

“Stop being silly…” she said, her melodic voice smiling. “The faster I go… the more time we’ll have together in our apartment.”

Prompto clicked his tongue theatrically.

Fun fact about Prompyla: they only had their first time together during the Eternal Night. It was during the first year of darkness that they finally worked things out and officially got together. They were each other’s first. Even though the artwork shows them a bit older.

I also like to represent the fact that Prompto tried, in some way, to remove the barcode from his wrist, which is why he carries a scar there. This represents a lot of his inner struggle, and I love him for being able to keep moving forward despite all of that.

In my AU, after they return from Niflheim and the Eternal Night begins, Prompto still carries the aftermath of everything he saw and went through in Verstael Besithia’s facility. During the first year of darkness, he struggles a lot with nightmares. At first, Ayla is a bit awkward about what to do when he has panic attacks, but she’s always there, staying by his side and ready to do whatever it takes to support him. As the years go by, Prompto eventually stops having nightmares.
